Ge'lawn played this weekend and will play next weekend, but just a guest player for the KY Players for the State AAU.

 

I was told this weekend that Ge'lawn was going to be playing for the G' Town (Scott County) Stars in the state tournament. The team was going to include Dakotha Euton, Chad Jackson, Ge'lawn and Austin Flannery.

 

Does anyone know who else will be playing with this team?

There are a lot of "guest" players around state tournament time. Sometimes they even bring in them from out of state!

The DS 17u team went 5-1 at the Adidas May Classic this weekend winning the Silver division title. Beat win was probally a twenty point win over the Southern Cal All Stars 2 and a one point win in the Championhip game today over Indiana Premier Select. Ethan Faulkner hit the game winner after the DS team came back from a 7 point deficit in the fourth quarter. Andy Donovan

finished the tournament with back to back Double Doubles to help make up the loss of Richie Phares this weekend who was enjoying the Scott County Prom:thumb:

Charlotte Court and the Shining Stars I believe were playing each other for the title in the Bronze Division.

Can anyone tell me how that one turned out?

Shining Stars were also "promming it" this weekend and were pretty short handed so my guess is Charlotte Court took that game.

Jacob Jenkins, who told me he's staying at Manual High School for his senior season despite recent rumors, put on a show today. He had 28 points in an afternoon game and then netted 33 against the Chicago Express. He's playing for Team Kentucky.

 

 

The older Derek Smith All-Star team - featuring Elliott County standouts Ethan and Evan Faulkner and Jonathan Ferguson - looked really good tonight in smashing one of the Southern California All-Star teams.

We will see about this G-town Stars team, because I was told it was the other players from Scott County's JV team. But it was not Dakotha Euton, Chad Jackson, Ge'lawn Guyn and Austin Flannery.

 

They may be the team that is TBA in the other pool! As of right now Ge'lawn is playing with the KY Players. And he will not be returning to the OBC team this year.

Will just be working out and going to alot of camps. (These are the invites so far Nike,UK,Xavier,Wake Forest,Tenn,UNC,FL,IN)

The GRC 9th grade class maybe the best group of 9th graders I have ever seen at one school. My guess is they will win a state championship before they are through:thumb:

Thank you for the kind words. This is a very talented group of Freshmen. They are such a joy to be around and watch play. Going to be great watching them for the next 3 years.

I love Robbie Stenzels game. He is a fantastic player.

 

The player in that class that everyone will need to watch is Scott Schuette of Lexington Catholic. He is playing with Shining Star Sports 15u team. In my opinion is one of the top players in his class. He is an amazing scorer and a very pure shooter. In his first game back from an ankle injury he had 25 points against 43 Hoops. Everyone will get an opportunity to see him play at the state tourney this weekend. Hopefully he will be back to full speed.

The first game of pool play will be a fun game. Derek Smith 17's vs Shining Star 17's. A lot of talented players will be on the court for this one.

Unfortunatly we will not be there Friday night to see this game.

Agreed McLovin--but the Shining Stars 17-u team has yet to be at full strength and has little or no playing time together as a team.

 

On the other hand, the Derick Smith team has played about 20 games (and a couple of tournaments) together.

 

Either way, should be fun to watch!
