Lex Cath is #5, O Cath is #16 and Heath is #10.

This is a heck of a field.

Asked the same question in a different thread but received no asnwer, but is the Male Baseball Field as nice as I have heard?

BTW will the LIT be played next year with all the black balling that the Public Schools are going to be doing (I do realize that JPS will not take part in the boycott)? Seems a shame, as the LIT has some outstanding teams playing in it, both Public and Private, and I think the kids from around the Commonwealth enjoy playing in it.

Male's field is very nice, but nothing extraordinary. They practice in the parking lot instead of on the field in order to take care of it. They'll take a little practice now and then in RF, but the majority is on blacktop. Driskell says if you can field it on blacktop then fielding in dirt should be easy. They hit in their cages instead of live on the field. That's why it's nice.

Heath is the best team in Region 1, which isn't saying a whole lot this year. Pitcher Daniel Webb will probably go fairly high in the MLB draft, perhaps late in the first round. He will face St. Xaver on Saturday.

Webb and centerfielder Chad Wright have signed with UK. Drew Williams, the #2 pitcher who is now playing mostly on the infield, is getting some low Division I looks.

This week, they started playing a left-handed thrower at SS ... he'll play there occasionally and may see some time at 3B. We'll see how it works out.

Heath lacks the offensive depth and speed of their really good teams in 2004 and 2005, but they are ranked 11th in the state coaches poll.

What would happen if the Rocks beat Tates Creek and Apollo? Would they break into the top 10?

How many teams were invited toatl?
