Well, 4/20 is coming up, those folks have to have an outlet.

Some countries in Europe do offer benefit's to new parent's (up to one year off of work in Germany (plus 2 month's paid vacation each year.) I just can't see the United States doing this. If I was paid 142K annually my whole family could stay home, and I could pay for the college tuition too.

Well halfback20 - you are right. Not all people on welfare are bad parents. As far as people on government assistance - it could be that a working parent who is the bread winner is ill, or they have a family member or child who is ill. The example given from Christine Martinellofrom for a stay at home parent to earn that kind of money is just plain crazy.

I'll explain my position about those on welfare. I'm speaking of the ones that go from generation to generation of being on it, not because they have to, because they just don't care. In other words, the dregs of society. I realize many are good people down on their luck, they're not the ones I'm referring to.
