Thompson is not making this stuff up. I have heard these stories for years about Paris. It is a sad truth. Until there is change from the top down the same problems will continue. I sure hope Poynter doesn't take this job. Trimble might be a tough place but it just doesn't have the problems he will get if he ends up in Paris. Remember this: Whoever gets the job will not stay longer than 2 or 3 years and they will be fed up and will move on (even if it is a local hire). They might not say truthfully why (like Thompson) but it will be for the same reasons. To mee B. Washington was doing a great job. It is unfortunate that he stepped down or was ran off?

I'm totally sure, but I believe Coach Washington resigned due to family obligations and school obligations (furthering his education). Coach Washington is a fine individual.:thumb:

He sure did but got turned down for apparently saying something about the lack of support and tradition. Obviously those doing the hiring didnt take it too well.

Interviews are supposed to wrap up this week. Hopefully a decision will come early next week.

I heard interviews went down Thursday night, and that "the jury" is out.

I am hearing Poynter from Trimble had a great interview. Don't know what that means or if it's true. By that is what I am hearing from Paris.

Why is Poynter wanting to leave Trimble so bad for? Not meaning it to disrespect....just curious.

I think that this is true as he has a young daughter and he is wanting to get her back to be able to see her grandparnets. I think it is a family move. I have to respect that. :thumb:

You can't fault a man for putting his family first. I hope the best for him and his family.

Coach Poynter would be a great hire for Paris. He understands overcoming obstacles and coaching at a small school. Like Coachbucket said if he gets it he needs to put Frankfort back on the schedule.
