Bengals Draft Predictions

Featured Replies

Perry=hurt

Irons=hurt

Rudi=washed up (too many carries)

Watson=3rd down/chang up back

DeeDee-3rd down back

I think defense is the first need. DE, DT, LB

grab a wr and rb after the third round. that extra pick will be handy

I would try to package their original 3rd round pick with a 4th or 5th...or a player, and try and get another 2nd rounder and pick up Stewart.

I am not opposed to trading up for Mcfad either. I like Stewart, but am worried about the injuries.

I like the Johnson kid from ECU alot too.

McFadden is a player thats hard to pass on, but I think they need D more than they need him....but I would not be mad either.....I would be shocked though.

Nothing shocks me with the Bengals drafts anymore. I was floored last year when they took Irons that early. What a freaking waste, even if he didn't get hurt.:creepy:

True Dat.

Until they find a heir to Rudi, which is going to be needed sooner rather than later based on his diminishing performance last season. Irons looked to be the man, and maybe he will be, but he suffered a horrible injury and is apparently behind in his rehab. Perry and Dorsey are not every down backs and I don't see Watson as the answer.

What is it with Bengal players taking 3-4 yrs to rehab injuries and misdiagnosing injuries? They need to clean house in that area and get some people that know what is going on with medicine and rehabilitation.

Irons is done IMO. He shredded the knee on that cut and RB's dont recover too well from those.

I think the Bengals need to draft Defense 1st and worry about WR later. Utecht will offer a nice option this season.

The Bengals spend NO MONEY on crap like that. Especially in the scouting department. I always laugh when I think about TJ and Chad playing on the same college team. That is the only way the Bengals got them. Their one scout just so happened to watch them play.

I agree, Irons is done.

I say if Chad wants out, let him. Goi to Dallas and say, "If you want Chad, you are going to have to give us your 2 1st round picks." If that does not work, maybe go somewhere like St. Louis, New Orleans, or Chicago. Get 2 top 15 picks to attend to those glaring holes, DL and OL.

If they trade Chad, they take a huge cap hit...

If we are going to complain about Perry and Irons being hurt then why would we pick Stewart?

I am not complaining about them being hurt. I don;t think Perry is going to get it done in the NFL, get rid of Rudy, and have Irons (when he's healthy) Watson, and Stewart split time.

I would like to think that Ellis or Dorsey will fall to the Bengals... If not, they would be best served to find someone to trade up into that spot and get and extra pick or 2, but that is going to be easier said than done. If both the DT's are gone, it would really be beneficial if they could find a way into the late teens... There is where a few more "need" picks would be more suitable. That is where they start looking at people like Ketwan Balmer and Malcolm Kelly become more justifiable. Personally I like Limas Sweed a lot out of this WR class. For all of you that talk about the scouting dept., then they could draft Jamaal Charles a little later and we solve a couple problems.

Personally, I think if Odell is reinstated our starters are looking pretty solid at LB, and we pick up depth later in the draft. Same with our DB's... I really think they have potential. The defensive holes are on the line...

That's what I am banking on for this draft....If they can't get either one of those, then I agree to try and trade their 1st round pick.

I like Stewart. I said in another post before he got hurt that he would have for sure been the #2 back in this class because though he might not do anything great, he does everything really good. In a few years I may be completely dumb for saying this but I'm not sure run DMc can handle 20 carries a game for 16 games a year...

I am not completely sure Perry or Irons are done, but I don't think either are your bellcow...

Until recently I even encouraged trading up to get them if need be... But in light of recent events, I don't think that is an option...

I would hope they try that then just give up....they are in serious need for a DT. However that seems to never be an option for the Bengals.
