Is strength of schedule a consideration when ranking these teams against each other?

I think strength of schedule would favor Beechwood and Ryle. Ryle has played 3 top 25 teams in the state and I believe Beechwood played some good teams down at Bullitt East.

Who? I beleive South Oldham was ranked around 52 and don't even see Bullitt East's name anywhere in the top 70 of the coach's poll.

 

Ryle has played 2 top 10 teams and the #17 to date.

It looks like only six coaches voted in the NKY Poll. I guess that's probably because the coaches know that polls mean very little in the grand scheme of things...especially at this point in the season.

I'm going to have to disagree. Doesn't Beechwood play schools like Villa, Dayton, Bellvue? Cov Cath has already played 2 teams in the top 10 in the state (Lex Cath and Henry Clay) in their first 3 games of the season. They also play GLC teams like Hamilton Badin and McNicholas. They play in Lexington against Louisville Male then back in NKY against Male again who is pre-season ranked 12 in the state. Not to mention they play West Jassamine who is pre-ranked 22 in the state. Another tournament in Boyd county who is 18 in the state. I'm pretty sure Strength of Sched. goes to Cov Cath by a LONG RUN.

I'd say all 3 teams(CCH Bwood Ryle) have really tough schedules.. For the most part Beechwood doesn't play too many conference games with teams like Heritage and Silver Grove. They might play those teams once but they don't load their schedule with teams in the DIII. The talent level is too unbalanced.

I'll assume you're making this statement in comparison to Beechwood and not Ryle, as Ryle plays a brutal schedule this year - every bit as tough as CCH and probably tougher.

Don't think Lloyd has lost a game yet this year and Dixie has not won a game this year, yet Dixie is ranked and Lloyd is not....go figure.

With all the coverage and analysis on March Madness, isn't this the first year that all the #1's (as determined 4 days before the tourney begins) made it to the final four????

I am sure statewide there is differences by the end of the year for the final eight teams at Applebees, but the local polls for NKY have been pretty much on the money for the last couple of years.

I think it's going to come down to the big three again. Ryle, CCH, and Beechwood. But my dark horses are Dixie and Highlands.
