I fear that this country is going even further down the road to it's internal destruction where we are getting to the point that we want a society filled with free choices to do whatever drugs you wish, gamble and ruin your families lives, kill unborn children and the rest of us sit back and say what a great country we have.

It is sad that we have not learned from history (prohibition). It's sad that we have not learned to legalize something that is not all that dangerous, make money off of it, and regulate it at the same time. Put criminals out of a job and make the marijuana people are already smoking today safer to get, but harder for teens to get. It is sad.

I have done it recreationally on occasion. I am not failing out of college, I have not ran over a little girl in a drive thru, and I am not addicted.

Those commercials depicting people that are high making really dumb decisions are stupid and exaggerated.

If misguided means that I provide facts based on scientific studies, while others provide opinions based on their own beliefs, I guess I'm misguided. I have read ALL of your posts and didn't get involved in the discussions with you because to have an objective discussion with another person you must first admit there is a possibility that you are wrong. You have shown your inability to do so . Therefore I haven't argued the point with you. God has instructed all of us to follow mans law. It is against mans law to smoke Marijuana. The mainstream of society does not accecpt it. If you could get that law changed then you could legally use it. I won't argue studies one way or the other because they are all mute points. You will be punished if you get caught breaking the law. This statement is not based on anything but facts, it is illegal !

I find it funny no one has voted to make it Medical Legal. It has been proven to have major health benefits.

I've read ALL of my posts as well, and I've read ALL of yours. Why is it that people on here want someone else to admit their wrong, but they won't do it themselves. You too, have shown the inability to admit you might be wrong.

 

There is no right or wrong in an opinion. My opinion is that marijuana should be LEGALIZED. Your opinion might differ. I've provided my opinion here, supported by facts. Which post specifically, should I admit might possibly be wrong?

 

I've never said anything about whether or not it is legal or illegal right now. It's obviously illegal at this point, no one is debating that. However, the reason we're discussing whether it should or should not be legal, is because the thread is titled, "Legalization of Marijuana".

First of all, no I do not smoke marijuana. I'm glad you asked. I have no need for it. I don't smoke cigarettes, I don't drink alcohol (often), and I do not smoke marijuana. I try to stay in shape, and healthy. These things prevent me from being healthy, so I do not do them. Does that mean they should be illegal? No.

 

I know a few different people who are police officers, and I've talked to many professors in the Criminal Justice field who believe marijuana should be legalized. People who use the drug aren't out there going crazy, robbing liquor stores and killing people. It does NOT effect one's mind that way. If I'm a cop, I'd much rather be sent to a home of a pot head than a crack head, or meth head.

I agree LBBC and I am grieved. When good is perceived as evil and evil as good we are spiraling downward at a mind boggling pace. Even so Lord Jesus come.

Halfback if you do become a police officer what will your position be when it comes to arresting someone using pot? Will you enforce the laws of the and or look the other way?

 

Alot of states are making a recreational pot offense the same fine as a speeding ticket.
