Great pitching effort today by Towles, Popovich, Head and Muench who had a combined 15 strikeouts.

Getting together for 15 strikeouts is always good.

Heard Stevie K-nek resigned from baseball to hitch his wagon to a travelling hoops team. I know this had to be a tough decision for him. Heard Coach Johnson supported him, wished him luck, and suggested he try out again next year! Class act, Coach!! Good Luck to K-nek and the hardball Birds!

He was a pretty good baseball player. Loss to the bat Birds. But, I understand his thought process. If he thinks his ticket to college is via basketball scholly or he just enjoys playing hoops so much that he wants to be the best basketball player he can, so be it. Heck, I'd like to see him donning a helmet and shoulder pads. He really is a very fine athlete.

I would think he just likes basketball better. He has a better chance of getting a baseball scholarship however. The kid can run.

Aren't most baseball scholarships partial?

Aren't most baseball scholarships partial?

Yup....

Obviously you can tell the difference between the Highlands pitcher and Pendleton's starter, Cody Delk. BUT, Delk picthed a great game, only scattering a few hits to a good highlands team. Unfortunately, Cody Delk no longer is on the baseball team.
