Does the NCAA cut UK a break?

Would you rather Memphis play in Raleigh, and ship Carolina out, or have Memphis play closest to their home, Little Rock which is about two hours away?

No. What I'm saying is, in the years before the current pod scheduling, both UNC and Duke were #2 seeds playing in Greensboro and Raleigh while the #1 seed in the region played further from home.

Right.....but how can you get the one closer to home. Does it justify moving Duke and Carolina, simply because #1 doesn't have a site that close? I don't think so.

Duke has played in North Carolina in seven of the last 10 first rounds. One of of other three was in South Carolina. That's an awfully big home court advantage, especially when other #1s have been shipped all over the map.

Lunardi just said that Kentucky doesn't have anything to worry about.

Again, with the sites being in the state, what would you suggest?

A little consistency for starters. It's not going to kill attendance to send Duke to Milwaukee or Philadephia for a first round game. If those locations in NC are dependent on having Duke assigned there in order to sell out their games, they shouldn't be hosting them in the first place.

They are generally sold out before anyone knows who's going to be playing. But again, if the NCAA's initiative is to have teams play close to home, and Duke and Carolina are high seeds, why should they go out of state if the state is hosting some games? That doesn't make any sense.

With the full fan bases of Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Miss State not getting to see their teams in the last two days of the SEC Tourney, will the NCAA keep those teams as close as home as possible in the first two rounds as a goodwill gesture?

So they send Georgetown to Raleigh and Duke to DC........I wish GU wouldn't have been that 2 seed. They are not allowed to play in the MCI Center.
