Knipp blockedc 6 shots tonight, 4 of them were Euton's. While Knipp may not have been on him all night, every time he was in the paint, Knipp was in his face!

Elliott was on every loose ball, on the floor all night long.

The highlight of my night was the unorthodox shot attempts of Johnathan Ferguson. I liked the big jump shot and the scoop shot.

They are the better team period. I watched the first game. EC could not have played worst, and still had a chance. Either way, you have your opinion, I have mine. Just because I didn't attend this game in person, and apparently listened to broadcasters that didn't know what they were talking about, (by your account) doesn't mean I don't hear what is said on the airways. :thumb:

I saw nothing but class on the floor from the team and the coaching staff of Rose Hill after the loss. Rose Hill lost, the sun will come up tomorrow if the Lord delays His coming, it's basketball!!!!

Rose Hill played well , but lost in the end with a good fight to the very end. Elliott will have to work hard to get it done Wed. beating a team 3 times is tough enough , but beating a team for a fourth time is ........................

Just got back to the 15th Region area after watching the 16th Region Elliott/Rose Hill game and I would like to give my assesment:

 

I would first like to start out by saying that Elliott is a great young team with grit and great basketball skills and will do well in the rest of the tournament, but I honestly feel after watching the game, that the game was Rose Hill's to lose, especially after taking a 10 pt lead. I felt like Elliott made adjustments and rallied on Rose Hill and Rose Hill made no adjustments and had no answers for the run. Euton is going to be special and deserves some praise because he was double and triple teamed all night, in which no one on Rose Hill's team cut to the basket or helped out in those situations. Rose Hill's players looked out of place and confused by their own offensive plays, even Jackson. I honestly was not impressed with Jackson at all, but the fans around me said he was having a off night, even with 17 or so points. I actually believe that Jackson has some game, but like I said it seemed that Rose Hill was trying some new plays or something and was confused. I really dont know why Rose Hill didnt post Jackson up. They did it twice and he scored and drew a foul both times. I was impressed with Rose Hill's role players and they hustled at all times. I was impressed with #44 from Rose Hill as well, but he didnt play much in the second half, not sure of his name. I still think Rose Hill was the best team on the floor tonight, but that is no disgrace to Elliott cause those boys can flat play too.

 

Congratulations to Elliott County and the fans should be proud of them.

By the way, I don't remember saying Knipp was "guarding" Euton, just that he had blocked several of his shots. One might infer from that statement that Knipp was guarding Euton. I think I did make a statement that Knipp was shutting Euton down on the inside in the 2nd period (a period in which Euton was scoreless). But when you look back at the game, you might see that the 5 minutes that Knipp was out in the second half, was when that 12-0 RH run occurred.

That was another thing I noticed as well, was that Rose Hill made a hard charge when the tall Knipp kid was out, and I believe they almost left him out of the game too long. I am not sure why he was sitting out so much, because he was not in foul trouble.

 

By the way, for all the posters that I read earlier in the week that said that Elliott was as good without Knipp is flat crazy after watching them play for the first time. Unless they had a kid that they didnt play.

 

Elliott is a great team to watch, great fundamentals.
