Thats a pretty good one Homeless Camel. I hear they are hooking up the horse and buggy there in Paris if your going down 27, to help filter in a few stragglers to Montgomery County if anyone is interested in traveling along the Oregon Trail to the Regional Tournament.

One of the interesting decisions that might be looming is what individual districts whose teams draw the early games will do.

 

Traditionally, if we draw the early game, we are dismissed early from school. If not, students cannot get home from their bus route and then have time to make it to Mason County for the start of the game.

 

With it being held in Montgomery County, less fans will go because of the longer drive. It will be less of a dilema since less fans will be going, so it will be interesting to see if we draw that game whether our school will be dismissed early or not. Which then means that probably even less fans will be going.

 

I know of many, many have said they will not be making the drive to Mt. Sterling where they would have to Maysville.

I believe the format is:

 

Opening round Wed and Thurs niight

Semi Finals Saturday afternoon

Finals Sunday Afternoon

 

same as last year I think.

 

Surely they could play the tournament from Monday--Saturday and not have to play on Sunday. Don't like Playing on Sunday at all.

Well the girls play Monday, Tuesday, Semi-finals on Friday and championship Saturday night. I'm sure they are trying to get the games on different nights so that fans can go to both and not pick and choose.

It's all a money deal .Most regions have double sessions and it works out real well.

Boys are playing at Montgomery County and girls are playing at Campbell County. A long, long drive to try to see boys and girls on the same day.

I think you probably need to say less 39th Districtfans will be going - but more 40th District fans will have the opportunity to see the Regional games. 39th District fans will have to endure the hardship in getting to the games that 40th have had to endure for 40 years.

 

I don't like the 5 pm game times no matter where the games are held, but it seems like the Region made this decision sometime ago and because it is so profitable, I don't see a change coming anytime soon.

You will see less 37th District fans at the games.

You will see less 38th District fans at the games.

You will see less 39th District fans at the games.

You will see more 40th District fans at the games. There better be a bunch of them too to offset the loss of fans from 3 districts.

I don't think the talent level is down if you look at how the 10th normally is looking back over the past 15, 25, or 35 years. I mean yeah it was really good the last few years but we have a top five team in the state along with two other solid borderline top 25 teams and also I think there is lots of parody with Campbell Co. also being able to make some noise.

 

I think a lot of other regions do not have the talent the 10th has including the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th regions. I think in all of these cases the #1 team from the 10th can beat the #1 team from the other region, and the same can be said for the #2 and #3 matchups.
