Dominguez singles in winning run with bases drunk, in bottom of the 9th.

UL wins 6-5.

Sounded like a nice crowd on hand in Louisville.

Nice little rivalry developing on the diamond.

Is UL's field still all turf?

Cats got another road game tomorrow at WKU.

^ How even are these two after these two games.....the field is all turf excluding the mound and the area at home....

College baseball is fun and it is nice to see the local schools promoting it some.

UL had free admission tonight and was offering free shuttles from Papa Johns Stadium.

In today's market you have to be creative to get people into the stands...

I'd say UK is probably a little stronger this year but they have not lost was UL lost coming into the season.

Midweek games are tough to measure and teams that are usually strong in midweek games have decent starting pitching depth. Most schools have their top three arms throw the conference F, Sa, Su games. UK has two really solid starters their in Rusin and Dombroski...Scotty Green has struggled in conference play but has the most upside.

They sort of mirror what UK did after their big season two years ago and are inconsistent. Looking at their schedule and results, it seems as if UL is playing better as of late.

The SEC East is flat out brutal this year and UK has had a tough conference slate. At UGa who is really good and a serious threat to make it to Omaha, at USC, and still have to go to Knoxville and Vandy this weekend.

They are in last place in the East with a 9-9 record but only two games out of second.

Right now the goal is to make the SEC Tourney...they do that and they will likely make the NCAA Tournament. The top 8 teams regardless of divisions make the SEC Tourney. Presently UK sits 8th by a game or so, overall.

UK was 21-0 in non-conference games heading into tonight and they have to go to WKU tomorrow.

I think UK got a little too cute last night trying to steal home with the bases loaded and a 3-2 count on the batter and that may have cost the Cats. They also had a guy tag up on a short fly ball that was not a good idea. A good game as usual.

Bat Cats lost 3-2 to Vandy last night in the series opener.

They bounced back today and won 6-2. They go for the series win tomorrow.

If they can win tomorrow, that's a huge road win in the SEC.

Bat Cats take 2 out of 3 from Vandy.

Bring on LSU.

Cats currently in a four-way tie for fourth place overall in the SEC (along with South Carolina, Mississippi and Tennessee). Georgia is in first, with a 4.5 game lead over UK. Florida is in second, just a game over UK and Vanderbilt is in third, just one half game over Kentucky. The Wildcats hold tiebreakers over borth Florida and Vanderbilt.

Rusin pitched fantastic Friday night, but got boogered up by a pair of 2-out run scoring doubles...late.

A definite confidence builder to go into Nashville and take 2 of 3 from #10 Vandy.

A huge series for the Bat Cats, I think they are coming together at the right time.

UK wins 9-6, over Marshall.

Was this a make-up game?

Didn't see it on the schedule.

They were down 6-2 in the 5th I believe.

Would have hurt the ole RPI.

LSU is hot coming into LEX this weekend.

How did the Cats do tonight?

Friday's game was rained out/postponed. Double header today (Saturday) starting at 1. Big series for the Bat Cats.
