Villa has beaten Ludlow 3 teams already this year I believe. Can they make it 4 times in one year, or could Ludlow find away to get a win against them this year?

I have mentioned before in another thread that the Ludlow boys program the last couple of years has not lived up to its normal standards, and I will like to add onto that a little bit. I believe there is many reasons for why there is, the players not playing well together, coaching, players not playing their hardest, etc. I think all these things have played into why Ludlow has not done so well the last two years, and there is no reason for it because they do have some talent on the team. One of the problems that I have started to notice more though, is the players starting to use poor coaching as their main excuse way to often. I believe now that players instead of taking some of the blame upon themselves, use coaching as their excuse for their poor performance. I think that is not right at all and actually is a big reason why for their losing. I mean have seen a couple games this year, and have heard from others and it seems like not everyone on the teams plays with their whole hearts the entire game, and don't do what they are suppose to. This is a big problem, I mean maybe they don't agree with the coaching however that is no excuse for not playing their hardest and doing what they are told. I know I and others had problems with coaching before in another sport, but it still didn't stop us from playing are hardest and doing what we were told even if it was smart or dumb decision. So I know I have a big problem now with that. Players now I believe as I said are starting way to much to use the coaching as for why they don't do better, but coaching has nothing to do with heart, and I don't believe the whole team plays heart all the time. I mean coaching could be a problem, however I am tired now of hearing the players say that is the main problem and stop playing their hardest and doing what they are told. You may not believe it is the right coaching decision but you still need to do it, and do it your hardest. Too add onto this, I think Coach Highfield will have the team ready for this district game against Villa. They will be a little shorthanded this time agianst Villa. However I do expect this team to actually come out and play hard, and maybe even play like a team for this one. So I not going to say that I predict a win, however I do think Ludlow will be able to be competitive in this one and fight till the end.

Very hard to beat a team 3 times in a season, let alone 4 times. Should be very interesting!

I believe Villa wins this one.....they, IMO, are simply the better team this year

Villa by 15. I rooting for Ludlow though, to pull off the upset.

I have Villa in this game, but I think its going to be a lot closer than people think. Villa has losses to teams that they had beat once before and it looked to me they thought they could walk over them again. (Calvary/Bellevue/Dayton)

 

I hope that they take Ludlow seriously and bring their A game.

Both teams are coming off tough losses. Villa lost to Dayton on a last second shot, and Ludlow got beat pretty bad by Beechwood. Winner goes to the region tournament though so I look for both teams to come out with a lot of intensity. With that being said, Love/Bryan will be too much for Ludlow a 4th time around.

Lets hope you are right but with 2 bad loses to Beechwood and Silver Grove in the past week things certainly don't look good for the Panthers. Good luck to both teams..

Yeah I posted that before I found out about the loss to Silver Grove. That is a really bad loss.:irked:

Villa is clearly the superior team this year. They have defeated Ludlow at home, at Ludlow, and a neutral site (Dayton). But it is very tough to beat someone four times. I hope Villa wins simply because they have never been to the Regional tournament and will probably struggle to do that after next year realignment.
