February 20, 200818 yr Dont ask me, I cheated my way thru calculus in college. You aint cheatin, you aint tryin! Calculus is one of those classes you either get or you don't. I wouldn't be able to cheat if I wanted to.
February 20, 200818 yr Question singular.... good one. I have way to many. But to answer your question it's about applying integrations using the disk method, shell method, and cross-sections. Good luck!
February 20, 200818 yr Wait, maybe it is Adams Co. I'm seeing. Does it really matter? I just mentioned Adams Co since I spent a couple years in the early 80's there. Amazing going through that town recently, it's like the land time forgot. You are right though, Brown Co, Adams Co. Doesn't really matter.
February 20, 200818 yr Calculus is one of those classes you either get or you don't. I wouldn't be able to cheat if I wanted to. It didnt help my professor was Russian and could hardly understand what the heck he was saying.
February 20, 200818 yr Calculus itself was like a foreign language to me. I can't imagine adding not being able to understand the instructor to that. Personally, I shot for a D and felt like an overachiever when I ended up with a C. Not my proudest moment.:irked:
February 20, 200818 yr Aha! So you're kind of a Buckeye;) I was born in Portsmouth, VA. Grew up a Navy brat, but my parents and their family are all from this area. So I root for Virginia since that's where I was born. Not that matters, neither the Cavaliers nor the Buckeyes seem to be able to win the big game recently. Or in Viginia's case even get to a big game.
February 20, 200818 yr Hey Chris Farley, is calculus for your major or just for the requirement? I've never been referred to as my avatar before. But I'm a senior in high school so neither. It's an AP class for college credit. The bad thing about that is he teaches it harder than most college calculus classes because in college for a lot of people its a requirement, but in high school it's optional. So unfortunately for me we're supposedly held to a higher standard than the college kids who are taking it.
February 20, 200818 yr Well then, if you survive you'll have it out of the way:thumb: That is one giant IF, but yeah hopefully it saves me a lot of hassle next year.
February 20, 200818 yr That is one giant IF, but yeah hopefully it saves me a lot of hassle next year. Or you could do what I did, just barely skate by, get your high school diploma. Then spend the next 15 years bouncing around from job to job, traveling all over the country with no real purpose in life, only to realize at 33, it MIGHT be a good idea to get a college education.

Don't worry the AP test will be the easiest calculus test you take by far, and with all of the math that it will get you out of next year, it will be worth it. So Disk method? Boy do I miss ole Charlie
