You're spot on Cardinal Fan. This would be consistent with what has happened the last couple of years since the realignment.

 

You wonder if GRC could've deferred their spot in the rotation once they realized there was an oversight, so that all the kids could be accommodated. After all, I thought that was the point of high school athletics.

I am not down on GRC! It just seems, at this point, that this whole scheduling fiasco is a result of GRC and accomadating their mistake in the scheduling of a play. Without the play scheduling problem, we would not be having this discussion.

I posted that a play could not be the problem as they are not held in the gym.

I agree...just don't understand why some are down on GRC so much.

But is not the auditorium right next to the gym entrance as soon as you enter the school. If that is true, would that cause a problem with people trying to go from one thing to another and what about parking? I know grc is a big school and all, but would that be an issue? I am only bringing this all up because i thought that the prblem with the girls tourney schedule was due to a conflict with the school play.

I believe the coaches and administrators do it together and vote what they think works best for everyone. That's why I don't think all the blame lies on the shoulders of GRC. While the conflict at the school doesn't help it also doesn't help that the coaches and administrators have to work around the referee scheduling so they can try to get quality officials for their games. Alot goes into it all and I think we will probably continue to see this in the future years.

Parking will not be a problem. Plenty in front and around back. The auditorium is to the right when you go in the foryer....the gym is past the foyer stright in front of you... and it is a HUGE foyer...so no problem there. No the auditorium is not next to the gym.

Cardinal Fan, I agreed with your schedule earlier and it still makes the most sense.

 

The only problem is that to possibly get higher rated officials, each site in the 10th and 11th region are only guaranteed one set of officials per night. So the problem there lies is do you want to the second game with tired officials who are ready to go home?

I just hope someone "within the 40th district" who absolutely knows why the schedule was done the way it was, would relay to all us "40th district fans" why the schedule is what it is, albeit because of anyone of the four schools that make up the 40th district caused the schedule to be what it is. Whether it be money, a play, or whatever else might be the real reason.
