February 12, 200818 yr Despite their mental problems and evil ways, these guys are brilliant. I have often wondered if thier brilliance is above and beyond the "norm" and therefore, they can't live in society and act as is deemed apporipriate by our society.....but, again, that is the therapist in me.What makes you lump Dahmer and Manson in the brilliant category? They are interesting in their infamy, but brilliant?
February 12, 200818 yr Living: John Wooden...only person I could really think of...very wise. Dead: Jesus, Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan (my 3 favorite people)
February 13, 200818 yr What makes you lump Dahmer and Manson in the brilliant category? They are interesting in their infamy, but brilliant? I think they are brilliant. I had an instructor in my Counseling class (when I was going to Western).....I spoke with her for hours on this subject. She had met both Manson and Dahmer. I can't repeat anything she showed me, or what they talked about on tape, however, lets just say that brilliant may not even touch it. Actually, Manson put Hitler to shame. If Manson had had a good childhood, there is no telling what this guy could have accomplished. It is a shame that someone like him ended up with a mom who had him through prostution....she was a horrible mom and he had no dad. Manson was in and out of foster care and juvenile homes. Back then, foster homes were not regulated like they are today....a lot of abuse had happened. Manson ended up with mental illness and just plain evil. However, this man is brilliant and could have done just about anything that he wanted.
