February 12, 200818 yr I think it's hard to say they made a mistake when their actual pick made it to Honolulu this season as a rook. Peterson is fantastic but I would almost guarantee Thomas plays more games during his career.
February 16, 200818 yr No way. A Peterson does not come around each year. There is NO reason why this kid should not have been the top pick in the draft. Other than the collarbone injury that scared everyone off. Peterson alone, is shooting up Mcfadden's stock. You know nothing of the Browns. Cleveland's offense would have been NOTHING this year if the O-line had not been worked on. It has been horrible since '99. Joe Thomas was the right pick.
February 16, 200818 yr Both guys are great talents, but there's no way you can say Cleveland made a mistake with their pick. I guarantee you that virtually every team in the NFL would place a higher value on a franchise LT vs. a stud RB.
February 16, 200818 yr With the speed and power in the NFL, it is hard to predict the impact of a single RB/QB. Look at the number of teams that have used their #2 or #3 QB's, or went out and found someone on waivers. Add that to the number of teams that were down to #3 RB. Security is in having 3 solid RB's on your team.
