Is Greg Monroe now back open for busines??

Greg Monroe didn't commit to LSU - it was Georgetown.

For some reason I thought he went to LSU. If I remember right LSU was in the running for him towards the end.

Man this is sad new, that's all we need someone who can actually coach at LSU.

Nice knowing you Mr Brady...

I don't think he is a good coach at all, but he is the guy who 2 years ago led LSU to the Final 4 and in the process took down the mighty Duke team led by Redick.

Sometimes the talent wins in spite of the coach. Take a look at his full body of work in 10 years at LSU and get back to me...

Downer for the kids. I know the Mason kid's dad, he's had a tough career.

I'm not arguing with you, I think he had to go too, but just pointing that out.

His last five complete seasons at LSU have not been that bad. His record over that period is 103-56 with one final four appearance, two NCAA losses in the first round and two NIT tourneys.

And only 2 seasons above .500 in SEC play. Only two of those 5 years did he win a post season game, and the non FF win was a 1st round NIT win. He had players leaving, failing out or getting kicked out on a regular basis. Bad coach. Nothing will change my mind... :p

I tend to agree with you about him................he should have won more with some of the talent at his disposal.

He makes Dale Brown look like John Wooden.
