I am not sour about aything, I wrote what I have observed. Unlike the emotional qoutes listed here. I said that the program needs help, I did not say the coach needed firing -that he needed help!!!!! He took this job knowing the circumstances, that cannot be an

excuse. Everyone I know that has a job is responsible for results. Coaches are responsible for W and L. The season is not turned around in one win over another small school just as a season would not be lost by a 22 point loss to Harlan.

 

Being a small school is only an excuse for saying you cant find a coach. There are other

coaches in Williamsburg right now that could really bring help to this staff.

 

Williamsburg has had some very good coaches in the past, and actually ran one off (by

the name of Brent West), because he would not do what the powers that be thought he should. He is now a main part of a very good Corbin team and staff, who I might add is a small school with very young players.

 

My only point to my entire statement is until Williamsburg realizes that winning a game is good, but that is what your supposed to do, and Williamsburg is willing to provide resources and a staff to improve from the youth up, the program will continue on the same track.

 

Insanity = When you continue to do the same thing over and over and expect different results!!!!!!

 

I wish the Kids the best and hope they get some W's.

You make some good points...I agree that some help should be found for Patrick and I trust they are going to do that...Brent West was and is a great coach, he just got caught in the middle of a political battle and got pushed out...IMO a bad hire was made to replace Coach West that set things back years...Yes things need to be improved from the youth up and I think slowly they are...WE have been on a good roll with football and have good coaches in place, but remember several of those coaches are not payed...This is a small school and as always money will be a issue at Wburg...

Everybody's opinions count, we may not agree but thats what makes these forums fun...Don't stop posting...Bottom line is that it was a good win and hopefully they can finish the year with a few more W's...

Us Williamsburg people need you to keep posting. You do make good points. Sometimes free help may not be in the form of people you think you need. I know Coach Herron and other coaches have told people NO. A coach has to do what he thinks is best and sometimes it may not be what others agree with.

I'm sure that it would be beneficial to have some experienced help on the bench at Williamsburg, but you have to give a young coach some time if you expect him to establish a competitive program in the tough 50th district.

Their football staff is excellent. They do a good job. As far a young coaches go, it can get a bit overwhelming at times. Dealing with parents being the most difficult. Keep your head up Coach Robinson. The second oldest profession in the world is second guessing the coach. :argue:

Hey even He had some rough years at Williamsburg, the guy is young give him a chance. It's hard to turn a program around in the state it was in after the previous regime, who I will grant you only had success thanks to West.

If you call Corbin a small school, then Williamsburg is tiny...Corbin has almost triple the enrollment of Williamsburg.
