I am not sour about aything, I wrote what I have observed. Unlike the emotional qoutes listed here. I said that the program needs help, I did not say the coach needed firing -that he needed help!!!!! He took this job knowing the circumstances, that cannot be an

excuse. Everyone I know that has a job is responsible for results. Coaches are responsible for W and L. The season is not turned around in one win over another small school just as a season would not be lost by a 22 point loss to Harlan.

 

Being a small school is only an excuse for saying you cant find a coach. There are other

coaches in Williamsburg right now that could really bring help to this staff.

 

Williamsburg has had some very good coaches in the past, and actually ran one off (by

the name of Brent West), because he would not do what the powers that be thought he should. He is now a main part of a very good Corbin team and staff, who I might add is a small school with very young players.

 

My only point to my entire statement is until Williamsburg realizes that winning a game is good, but that is what your supposed to do, and Williamsburg is willing to provide resources and a staff to improve from the youth up, the program will continue on the same track.

 

Insanity = When you continue to do the same thing over and over and expect different results!!!!!!

I wish the Kids the best and hope they get some W's.

Football team has a good complete coaching staff -- HOW???? If the above

Again, You are basing entire seasons on 1 game. B-ville.

 

As I stated earlier, good win. BUT, it does not make a season or mean

anything has changed, the game before Williamsburg was a blow out by

a down Harlan team.

 

Everyone can say it will come in time, however you have to be just as

intense about the losses as you are about the every now and then wins

to get better. I see no posts by W-burg fans unless they get a win.

 

Everything is okay attitude - Time will tell, manure will smell and water will

seek its own level.

Being the responsible party in charge of W'burg basketball and hearing his name & reputation questioned the way that it has been on this thread and others threads, only reinforces the notion that Coach Robinson should run his program the way he sees fit. This is especially true when it comes to the type of people he wants assisting him, but since people assisting his program has been mentioned, you now see Darnell Howell, who was a starting guard at Cumberlands, now assisting Coach Robinson. I seriously doubt that Darnell's family prominence in Williamsburg influenced Coach Robinson or anyone at W'burg to hire him as a substitute teacher and let him coach basketball. Other knowledgeable people have helped Coach Robinson during Christmas break. Occasionally, people have seen reputable young coaches with the last name of Vernon in Williamsburg's gym as well. Knowing all of this, I am just not of the opinion that Coach Robinson is an isolationist. He is just careful and rightfully so, in light of the entire picture at Williamsburg recently, people he chooses to have helping him.

:confused: When our own children are involve in a program (as I suspect yours was involved in this one at one time) our emotions get the best of us. So yes maybe I am emotional in the same way you have expressed your own emotions.

for people to see that this program needs help. I hope they get it.

I am glad to see Williamsburg making progress and hope that they can continue that progress. Williamsburg resources are limited and they appear to be making the best of them, but due to small resources the progress is a bit slower. Be patient, Coach Robinson is doing a good job and yes he does need help but so do several other coaches, not just in the tri-county area or the 13th region. For Williamsburg to hire help, they have to have a teaching position and with an enrollment of only 220 they can't just pull one out of the air can they? Right now football talant is good at Williamsburg and basketball talant is not as good as they would like it to be, but you can rest easy in knowing that they are trying to get better. They have a passion for their sports and athletes, and want a winner more than anything.
