Wow so much information. I guess Rockcastle can now start spring football practice. Keep us fans informed rockcastle raider of how everything is going. I guess you are the one in the know with your sources.Will any baseball players get to practice this year in spring ball since there is a new coach and new things to learn?

All kids want to win whoever they are or where ever they are. I bet you the kids at PC think they want to win more. As an objective outside observer that has NO love for either team and after watching both last year I think it could be a good game and Rock might win but it is more than likely PC will win game one going away.

 

I'd say some teams want to win more than others. That's what makes great teams...the ones who want it more.

I have been out of the know for a month because of work and travel and was wondering how the team is looking for this year. Are players still lifting good and what about 40 times. Is spring ball soon, heck I dont even know if the girls are still playing or not. Can Rockcastleraider or three wishes let us know what is going on so far. Any news from Coach Larkey in Harlan or how he team is looking? Has Perkins decide to play?

 

I asked someone about Perkins and whether or not he'd play football and I was told...

 

He's a lefty and can throw a baseball around 85 MPH...what do you think? :lol:

Being a Rocket football fan I wish Tanner would play but being a firend of Tanner's, I totally support whatever decision he makes. Baseball will be his meal ticket to anywhere he wants to go to school at. He has always been and most likely will always be a baseball player before anything else.

Cole Abney is one of the hardest working players on the team.

The Rock has a couple of new kids, one looks to be nice size, could be a receiver, the other one is huge, but unknown quality, but works hard and is strong/ I did see some of their practice the otherday and Cole Abney Has put on 20 plus pounds and is very strong, he was abusing some people on the practice field, looks alot like his older brother only bigger and stronger but with the same drive and determination, very focused.

career stats going in 08: starter in 07, racked up 28 tackles and 1 fumble recovery, All-District Honorable Mention. Starter on the offensive line.

 

Jeff Smith #25

career stats going in 08: due to injury last season he did not play. He played little on a great 06 team racking up only 4 tackles and 3.5 sacks of the teams total of 56.5 sacks that season.

 

Dustin Bullock #4

career stats going in 08: 10 for 16 in passing for only 73 yards, 7 carries for 0 yards and a TD, 14 receptions for 166 yards and a TD.

Wow the Rock looks loaded. This is not even with Abney, Thacker, or the QB, Bishop. I say the Rock has some more kids I cant think of right off the bat that can play and got time last year. Looks like the future is good for Rockcastle. I would lke to think that we can beat at least 7 or 8 teams on our schedule, at least I think we should since we played so close last year to most of them and we have most of our players back. I heard Dackery and Chris arent coaching this year, is this true? Can ThreeWishes let us know?

The Rock is loaded. I believe all the kids are working hard. The Rock runs deep,there is alote of talent. I believe the Rock will be very competitive in 08. Maybe the carpet?:dancingpa

Those guys on the Rockcastle county football team are out there with one goal in mind. That is a state championship. They are working their butts off every single day believing that they can win it all. I would like to believe they can too. :thumb:
