January 25, 200818 yr My Pre-Season Predictions: NL EAST- Mets(won't let what happened last year happen again) NL CENTRAL- Cardinals(Gluas adds pop behind pujols, mudler back) NL WEST- D-Backs(A lot of young talent, won it last year) NL WILD CARD- Contenders- Rockies, Reds, Padres, Cubs, Phillies, Brewers, Braves. AL EAST- Red Sox(Pitching and hitting) AL CENTRAL- Indians(Sabbathia and Carmona and a lot of hitting) AL WEST- Angels(UP for grabs, weakest division in baseball) AL WILD CARD- Contenders- Yanks, Tigers, Jays, A's, White Sox, M's
January 26, 200818 yr NL EAST- Mets, they are old and not much pitching, but they are still the best in this division NL CENTRAL- Cubs, if they get just a little help with pitching, they will be really good NL WEST- Rockies, they just got it together at the end of the yearm I expect them to keep it going this year NL WILD CARD- Contenders- Reds, Brewers, Braves, Phillies, Diamondbacks, Padres, AL EAST- Red Sox, best team in baseball, period AL CENTRAL- Tigers, they added Willis and Cabrera to that potent line up and great pitching staff that was injured last year, if they stay healthy, they could win it all, they have the ball in their court, and a great manager AL WEST- Angels, this depends if the Mariners get Santana or not, if not, I am going with the Angels, if so, the Mariners AL WILD CARD- Contenders- Yankees, Indians, Athletics, Mariners
January 26, 200818 yr This Cracks me up..the Mets had a total meltdown last season and they have not so great pitching and they still get love? Makes no sense! NL East- Braves (Signed Tom Glavine, if they can get 10-12 wins it'll be huge, Tim Hudson and Smoltz will help a pretty good pitching staff, and a potent offense) NL Central- Cubs (Soriano, and Co. will win the depleted division) NL West- Dodgers (Signing Andruw Jones was a good move and not very risky, if he can hit the ball they should win) NL Wildcard- Diamondbacks(with Dan Haren in the rotation he should provide a spark for the pitching staff, but can they score runs?) AL to come later.
January 26, 200818 yr I think the Central is Milwaukee's to lose. Yes, I know they haven't been to the post season since Shoeless Joe Jackson's rookie year, but still. The Brewers reminded me of the Indians team a couple years ago that came back and nearly overtook the White Sox for the division. They regrouped and we have seen how great that team has developed. Course Milwaukee has often been referred to as the "if they stay healthy" if, if team, but the Central is again there for the taking this year. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Course since I'm a Chicago fan, I can only hope the Cubs keep it close only to dash our hopes yet again.
January 26, 200818 yr NL East Mets NL Central Cubs NL West D Backs AL East Redsox AL Central Indians AL West Angels NL Wild Card Cards AL Wild Card Yankess
January 27, 200818 yr NL East Mets NL Central Cubs NL West D Backs AL East Redsox AL Central Indians AL West Angels NL Wild Card Cards AL Wild Card Yankess So even though they made that blockbuster deal, and their pitching is going to be healthy again, with Zumaya back, you still take the Indians over the Tigers???
January 27, 200818 yr Author Yeah i would. Willis really has not had a good year in awhile, and he was pitching in the NL. Now he is the AL and really doubt he will be that good. The tigers and the indians both have showed the last two year thats its not hitting, but the pitching that wins. Indians have more of that.

Actually 2 years ago the Tigers proved that hitting gets you to the world series. They had a really potent offense and was pounding the ball..They also had the pitching but their hitting was a big part of it.
January 27, 200818 yr NL East- Mets NL Central- MY CUBBIES!!!!! NL West- D-backs NL Wildcard- Padres AL East- Bo Sox AL Central-Tigers AL West- Mariners AL Wildcard- Indians World Series, my 2 favorite teams Cubs beat the Tigers in 7:dancingpa I like to dream big:D
January 27, 200818 yr AL East - Boston AL Central - Detroit AL West - LA Angels WC - Indians NL East - Phillies NL Central - Brewers NL West - San Diego WC - Dodgers Boston over the Padres in 5.
January 27, 200818 yr My Pre-Season Predictions: NL CENTRAL- Cardinals(Gluas adds pop behind pujols, mudler back) Carpenter is out til July. Mulder has had another surgery with no timetable for a return. Kip Wells is in Colorado. Are they bringing Joaquin Andujar and John Tudor back to the rotation? I think the collective loss of Rolen, Edmonds, and Eckstein will be felt in the clubhouse much more than on the field. This is not a very good team. We may see LaRussa trying to recite his ABCs again before the season is out.
January 27, 200818 yr Seen a note that the Phillies may lose Freddy Garcia for the entire 2008 season after trying to rehab from surgery!

The Central should be the Cubs to lose if they stay healthy, that line up is stacked with good hitters and they have over stocked the cubbard on pitching so thats a positive and allows them room to make trades for position players if they need to in the event they need something for there post season run, I REALLY like there chances at making the World Series!
January 27, 200818 yr AL East- Boston (Manny had a down year last year but should be good to go, best closer in AL and a solid pitching staff, especially if they get Santana) AL Central- Tigers (Adding Cabrera and Willis to an already potent roster just further solidifies their lineup and desire to win) AL West- Angels (With guererro an Co. The Angels should be up front in a pretty depleted West division.) AL WC- Yankees (Too much talent to not make the playoffs)
