Well did anyone notice that in the final scene where Rob and Beth were on the Ferris Wheel, in the background you could see something fall into the ocean. Well it was a satellite that fell from orbit and woke the monster which had been dormant in the sea for thousands of years! Just figured you all would like to know!:thumb:

Where did you hear that? I saw that part the second time I saw the film and thought it looked like a monster with a tail but a satellite makes more sense because at one point Hud says something about it being a monster that was dormant for awhile, but that no one had ever seen, kind of like a Loch-Ness Monster almost.

Yeah it was questioned whether or not that was the monster but it has been confirmed it was a satelittle from a Japan based company!

That certainly makes more sense than it landing in the ocean which was what I originally thought, but where did you get the info?

I'm sure there will be a clip up soon enough. Who knows though..Makes me want to go watch it again though..lol

That's cool, but I kind of liked thinking it was the monster because I actually noticed it when I saw the film, without knowing I was supposed to look for it. I also stayed until the end because I hoped they would show somebody picking up the camera... I heard that scrambled voice, but it's stupid that it was played backwards.

I thought it was pretty good. Not fantastic, but good.

The picture Jumper Dad posted looks like Sin from Final Fantasy X.

Agreed.

I thought Hud's character was actually funny throughout the movie... my favorite line of the whole thing was very subtle and some that saw the movie might not even remember it but I laughed out loud when I heard it.... I guess I should write this in white too... When Rob Beth Lilly and Hud are running down the stairs after they got Beth and have to fight off one of the things giant insects things that fell off the monster, Beth says "What was that?" and Hud responds "Something nasty... And terrible..." lol

***SPOILER*** (they don't have to keep reading, and I don't have to change the letters' color!)

I liked , and the addendum, something like "They fell off the bigger thing, which is also terrible".

I actually thought that was one of the more humorous lines in the movie....LOL:laugh:

SPOILER IN WHITE BELOW

Anyone else notice that the monster that bit Hud in half was smaller and different looking than the main monster? Maybe there is 2? Or maybe the things that fall off of it grow extremely quick into monsters like the one that killed Hud?

J.J. Abrams did a really good job on this film, I have soooo many questions I want answered.

Are you sure about the spoiler part? I didn't notice that big of a difference, but then they were two completely different angles.

I read this and then the second time I saw it I sort of noticed it, but I've heard so many things that I don't know what to think anymore.

Ended up not taking my son to see it.

Instead we saw Alvin and The Chipmunks.
