I have refrained from posting all year but I just have to say how happy I am for Mike Davis, Alex Malloy, Robbie Barber, Tony Arthur, and Johnny Bush. All of them have had to endure constant criticism for their supposed lack of contribution but tonight they were clearly major factors. Davis had 12 and 16 so I think everyone can drop the two man team crap.

 

Hats off to the Rose Hill community for coming out in force tonight and and thanks to Mrs. Burgess the student section more than held their own .

Of course dont get me wrong, I think RH is the team to beat in the District right now, just dont get too excited too early and start thanking all your sponsors, but congrats.:thumb:

I've been reading a bunch but just haven't had much to say. Rose Hill has been on the road so much I haven't had many opprotunities to see them play.

Yep, they have played a pretty tough schedule for essentially a bunch of young kids.

 

Even though I knew the "big two" were sophmores, it didn't hit me til I heard their starting lineup tonight that they only start one senior. Much like Elliott, just a great amount of young talent in the region.

I sincerly apologize for taking your post the wrong way. I personally get no more excitment out of beating Ashland than I do Fairview or Boyd. With seeding they are all equally important. For me alot of the bitterness left when Biggs took over. He has been nothing but a class act and to me this is quickly becoming what it should be, a healthy rivalry. Tonight was what high school sports are all about. No ugly signs, no beratting the opponents bench, just clean fun.

 

Both sides have been guilty in the past but tonight everyone acted the right way. :thumb:

I have read alot of post on here about RH and there has been a ton of post about how the rest of the team does nothing. As a father, I will say that those people are wrong, I am glad to see these other kids tht have worked hard and develop while playing great competition now starting to shine.

 

All I can say is it is not the district championship, but a lot of people on here were making a big deal about it being a huge game and some of the so called non contributers sure stepped up in a big game that carried the atomosphere of a tournament style. Good job Mike Davis, way to get after it on the boards and the defensive end as well, 12 and 15 is a great night Keep it up Royal and keep making this dad proud.

Yeah, I would say about 90 percent of all KY high school players would take that average:thumb:

 

Sounds like Mike has been working hard and if he stays on track along with the other starters to go with Euton and Jackson, then the other 16th Region teams ought to Beware.

I'm an Ashland kid so I grew hating Boyd so I don't know.
