King James Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Pikeville turned the ball over, and over, and over, and over... JBS dominated Pikeville in every aspect of the game.
The Professor Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Final from Knox Co. Central The game was at Knott Central in the WYMT tourney.
Saints09 Posted January 12, 2008 Author Posted January 12, 2008 The game was at Knott Central in the WYMT tourney. Wow, I can't believe I did that. I read the score and didn't even think what I was typing, sorry.
bigblueinsanity Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 JBS was my pick for this region. They have a good team and get a blow out win.
The Professor Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 From what I saw of Hazard tonight, JBS had better be just as hot tomorrow night as they were tonight. I watched on TV and was really impressed with the Bulldogs. The addition of Warren is a huge for them...and they were already loaded.
Big Game Player Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Looks like a 14th region finals. Now and at the end of the season.
roosterhead Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 JBS was perfect in every aspect of the game. Will not be as easy tonight. Congrats to the Crusaders!
Braveheart Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I was really suprised at the margin in this one. Pikeville is an improved team IMO.
Lightning Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 This was the first time I saw JBS in person this season and was impressed with them. This team has many weapons and they used all of them in this one. Collins was very effective and I think it showed that if he is used they are tough to beat. I still think Clark Stepp tries to do too much without letting the game come to him. If he learns to do that then WOW!. Cox is very talented on both ends of the floor. I was as impressed with him on the defensive side as I was on the offensive side. Clint Stepp can just flat out shoot the ball. He rushes some shots, but the kid can shoot. Short was a little quiet, but I thought he played very well on the defensive side as well. The game against Hazard tonight will be a battle. Can't wait to see it.
The Professor Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I was really suprised at the margin in this one. Pikeville is an improved team IMO. I watched this game last night on the tube and I wanted to count it as just a bad night for Pikeville, but...46 points is a thumping in anybody's book. Ouestion for 15th region fans: How does Pikeville compare to other 15th region teams? How would Shelby Valley and Paintsville match up with June Buchanan, or Hazard for that matter?
King James Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Ouestion for 15th region fans: How does Pikeville compare to other 15th region teams? How would Shelby Valley and Paintsville match up with June Buchanan, or Hazard for that matter? Pikeville is widely considered the #3 team from the 15th... I think the loss of Daniel Harmon has hurt that team much more than most anticipated. To answer you second question, I don't think Shelby Valley or Pikeville could have stayed with JBS the way they played last night. I would give JBS the edge over both SV and Paintsville, but think both are slightly ahead of Hazard.
