This a rematch of the game played at Lee earlier in the year where Powell fought back and hit a tying three with 2 seconds left to tie the score and Aaron Charles came down for Lee and hit a three to win at the buzzer. This game is at Powell. Powell has been known to have tremendous home court advantadge and emotions ran high at Lee and two players were ejected and suspended. I hope this game is played with high emotion and no one loses thier temper. I respect Coach Lively and Coach Wright and I believe both will have thier teams ready to play basketball and keep the extra cirricular activivities off the court. I'll take Lee by 5. As much as I'd love for my Bobcats to win, winning at Powell is never easy. I'll say it'll be another nailbiter, but Powell pulls away at the end, with the assistance of last minute fouls; I'll say Powell by 12.

The last time these two played Daniel Kinser was ejected in the third quarter. He will hopefully be in the whole game this time. Powell has scoring power from Corey Brewer and Jeremy Banks as well. Powell should take this one at home by 10. Jeremy Mays has been coming on the last few games as well.

These district games are always intense. Should be a good one to watch. Powell seems to have recovered well after losing so many seniors. Coach Lively has done a good job with his team. Wright also has his kids playing well. Either team could win the district.

Maybe win the game, but don't forget about Estill County. I think they are in the position to win the District. Going to be a hard team to beat in this district.

Lee had a critical starter ejected in that game too. Lee didn't play particularily well in that game, missing lots of easy lay ins.

 

Really a matter of who is hitting and who is not tomorrow night in Stanton. I don't expect the coaches to let emotions to get out of hand like in Beattyville earlier.

Estill is the favorite, but I think either Powell or Lee could win the district. I'm not saying that they will, but Powell, Lee, or Estill should win it with Estill being the slight favorite.
