LSU 38 OSU 24

Featured Replies

See, this is the thing that irks me so much.

How is it, that LSU whipping OSU somehow means that UK close to being on par with OSU? Or UK beating a completely depleted, and down, Florida St. team announces their arrive to the national spotlight? UK has done what exactly to warrant ANYONE saying that they deserve to be mentioned with other elite programs? This past season will likely serve as the high water mark for the program for the foreseeable future, yet you equate yourselves to programs who compete for national titles year in and year out? The SEC is a great conference, but UK is far from great (and far from being one of the top teams in that conference).

We can play the who beat who game all day. Lets see, Michigan beat Florida, Florida beat UK, UK beat LSU, and LSU beat OSU so therfore we can safely say that Michigan is better than OSU :creepy:?

Sorry to direct the venom at you, just a pet peeve of mine.

Before you get your panties in a wad go back and look at what I said. THIS YEAR! No way is UK's football program in the same breathe as OSU when it comes to football just like OSU isn't in the same breathe as KY basketball. This year KY football CAN make the argument they are better and OSU CAN make the argument that they are better in basketball.

KY has played right with LSU, Florida, Tenn, Georgia so why do you think OSU is so much better than those schools? Can you say without a doubt that OSU is better? I can't! THIS YEAR!!!

No, I don't have to prove anything to you. It was proved on the field last night.... Thanks come back next year!!!!

I couldn't agree more. I stated In the Big Ten/ SEC comparison thread that OSU, (THE SUCKEYES) would lose 3 to 5 in the SEC this season, and Big Ten fans came out of the brush to tell me I was stupid.............. Well a two loss and two time narrow escapee from the SEC beat the best team in the Big Ten easily, once again....Sooooooooooooooo, would anyone like to tell me again how there is no way possible this OSU team loses 3 to 5 in the SEC??

Hold on, OSU lost 3 to 5 games this year to the SEC......oh wait, no they lost one. How is that proving anything? Tell me how you can say for certain that this would happen.

Ohio St. should join the MAC. But they would lose a couple of game there also.

Get real.

I know one thing, Buzz wins the award for biggest coward...

I'm not talking about losses. I'm talking about quality wins.

I know, and that's my point.

So as long as you beat a bunch of really good teams, it doesn't matter if you lose to one or two really terrible teams.

So, your saying that OSU, who's best win versus a ranked opponent was #20 Purdue, beat a bunch of really good teams.......LOL. Nice try!

Kentucky beat LSU didnt they. Can OSU say that.:ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

OK I have no idea what this proves, but here goes:

LSU beat OSU

UK beat LSU

Florida beat UK

Michigan beat Florida

OSU beat Michigan

So, again, how does it prove anything other than UK wasn't good enough to beat the "weaker" teams on their schedule?

No team should be judged by one game, and definately no conference should be judged by a single teams performance in one game. You wish to judge UK by the LSU game, I wish to judge them by the South carolina game, or the Miss St. game, or the Georgia or Tennessee games. The truth, probably lies somewhere in the middle.

Ok, I know that English isn't a priority in the SEC (check those great graduation rates.....awesome:thumb:), but try to follow.

I was saying that he was pointing out that "other" teams (USC, WVU, Georgia) had all beaten some very good teams, unlike OSU.

As I said, what he failed to point out was that those "other" teams all lost games to teams very much like the sub par opponents that littered OSU schedule.

Nowhere did I say anything about OSU beating a bunch of good teams. A few good teams, sure........a bunch (as in the SEC bunch that LSU beat), no way.

:thumb: Great post, but I think you are talking to a brick wall, and no matter what you say some people only believe what they want to believe.......its very sad.

IMO, Akron, Youngstown St., and Kent St. don't constitute reaaly good teams, sorry.

Please read entire thread before posting. If you don't know the conversation that occurred then your comments are, well............ignorant.

I do know this OSU is 0-9 against SEC in Bowl games

And somewhere in the middle says they are about the same as the Suckeyes.

Who, UK?

Do you know what marijuana and OSU have in common. They both get smoked in a bowl.
