January 10, 200818 yr That would be a stretch... But some part of the fact that the SEC is "down" is that UK isn't in their typical spot. The Sec is not down IMO. Teams like Ole Miss., Vandy, Even Arkansas are filling in for UK nicely

January 10, 200818 yr The SEC is very much down this year... Based on what That UF lost a lot? UK is down but it's not like they were great last year.
January 10, 200818 yr Based on what That UF lost a lot? UK is down but it's not like they were great last year. That there is very little quality outside of the top 3 and maybe 4 teams. UT, Vandy, Ole Miss and maybe Arkansas can be considered quality, and outside of that there isn't much left. UK and UF are in a rebuilding phase (for obviously different reasons), LSU has maybe the worst coach in America, Alabama is in a similar boat as LSU, South Carolina is under performing from what I expected of them, Mississippi State isn't good and Georgia isn't there either. It's a down year, and I see no way to claim otherwise...

However, comparing teams to last year the Sec besides Uf is not down. Ole Miss. Vandy, UT, and Arkansas are all better. LSU, S.C, Georgia, and Miss. State were bad last year and are likewise this year. Alabama has more talent this year and will only be better when Steele returns. Im not trying to argue that the Sec is a great conference this year. Im just stating they are up from last year, or at least not down.

You might be the only person in the whole country that actually thinks the conference is not down this year and is actually better than last years. The SEC is down this year and that is all there is to say about it...
January 10, 200818 yr What exactly is your point here man? I mean I am a UK fan, and don't like Duke at all. However looking at that schedule I think they played a tougher schedule than we have. And even with the harder schedule they have an a lot better record that us... They have played a tougher schedule but, duke is beating the teams they are playing by 10+. My point is that Duke is so good that they need to be playing better teams then what they are playing, because this isn't helping them by beating teams by 10,20,and 25 points a game.UK had to play UNC (#1) and Indiana (#15) with in the first 7 games of the season, them two alone are already two losses besides GW.

You still are not making much of a point here at all. I mean I believe I counted that they play 11 games so far, and three of them was against ranked teams. That is a pretty good percentage of games against ranked teams for most schools. Then Illinois, Davidson, and Michigan are no guarntee wins either. As I said before I am a UK fan and hate Duke. But your little comparison thing between schedules is ridiculous. Their schedule has been alot like mostly any other top teams..

Would you like to explain why your so confident? and don't mention the SEC is down because UK is down, they were down last year.
January 11, 200818 yr Doubt it. Would you like to explain why your so confident? and don't mention the SEC is down because UK is down, they were down last year. List me the big wins for the teams outside of your top 4 in OOC play...
January 11, 200818 yr Doubt it. Would you like to explain why your so confident? and don't mention the SEC is down because UK is down, they were down last year. Well if you knew anything about what I say on here, you would know that I would not say such a thing. You can just look at the conference at a whole and see some of the bad losses the teams in the conference has this year. Then also as GT said, go try to find some of the good wins the conference has this year, there wont be many. Off the top of my head the best win the conference probably has this year is UT over Xavier and well Xavier actually blew that game more than UT won it...
January 11, 200818 yr Author So Duke took that many days off without a game because the SEC is down (or isnt down according to one )this year? I should have remembered the golden rule on here: Dont start a thread unless its about UK or the SEC.
