MoreheadEagle
Since we have an atheism/religion catch-all, I thought about starting one on this subject. Where do you stand? Why? Do you even know? I'll add my opinions later after the thread gets going.
ladiesbballcoach
My first P & R debate brings back fond memories. I still miss Frances as he was one of my main debators on the issue. Not surprising where I stand. Creationism.
HHSDad
Starting with the Big Bang and ending up with cognitive life is extremely doubtful without intervention by an intelligent being. I don't believe that the Genesis story means a 144 hour creation. I think its an extreme simplification of God's creation. An adequate explanation of astrophysics, Newton's laws, Einstein's theories on Relativity, quantum mechanics, etc. would have lengthened the Bible many fold. And no one would get past chapter 1. Doesn't sound much different than in the NT when they said they did not record ALL that Jesus said and did or it would be too long to read. MoreheadEagle
Basically that the Earth was created 6,000 years ago and all species that have ever existed were created in the 6 literal days of creation. It is based on counting the geneologies of the biblical characters.
