I read Ryan Ernst's blog today and he bemoans the all-state process as well. For example, he says EJ Fields is one of the top 5 players in the state but he was only nominated for all-state at the qb position. Ernst felt the kid from the western part of the state that put of monster numbers should get his vote, thus, EJ Fields will not get a vote. If he had been nominated for DB, he would have.

 

I think we have to resign ourself to the fact that its a flawed system and , in reality, its not going to change.

No doubt he is very worthy but we are looking at some other coaches.

 

I don't know his name and am to lazy to look it up but the coach at Bath County has turned that team around. They have a very good program now.

I didn't realize there was more than one ALL-STATE TEAM poll.

From the posts in this thread, it appears that it has not been posted yet. The ballots just went out last week to the AP Sportswriters.

Let's face it guys and gals, no system would be perfect for choosing the all-s tate candidates. I don't care if you put a committee together or is you just go by stats. There is always going to be some complaints that have merit. But you have to admit, BGP's gives us the opportunity to vent our feelings.

I've watched the AP voters for the past 10 years on their selections for all state in Kentucky. It is evident that they really don't care and just shoot in the dark. Look back at the poll's they do each week. I guess we are all awaiting their list so we can all complain about it. I for one could give a hoot less who makes it for the AP. They have no credibility. The AP would be much better served if they just waited until the BGP list comes out and then piggy backs off of that. At least then they would appear to care about their selections.
