I try to base the poll on how teams are playing RIGHT NOW.

I know Ashland lost to Spencer and also know Fairview got a gift from Lewis County, yet they are still #2 this week.

Rose Hill beat Fairview and they are #6.

Bath will continue to climb if they continue to win.

Upsets galore.....

 

1. ELLIOTT-Fifth Third here come the boys from Sandy Hook

2. FAIRVIEW-Duck will be quacking all week

3. EAST CARTER-Raiders will be there all year

4. BLAZER-Tomcats gearing up for AIT

5. RACELAND-Rams are an exciting team to watch

6. ROSE HILL-Growing pains for the young Royals

7. BATH COUNTY-Warned you Wildcats could play if healthy

8. WEST CARTER-Comets win Covered Bridge Classic

9. BOYD COUNTY-Lions played a rugged slate

10.MORGAN COUNTY-Cougars are getting better

11.ROWAN COUNTY-Vikings need to support for Pettit

12.LEWIS COUNTY-Lions up to 3 wins

13.GREENUP COUNTY-Musketeers get some much needed W's

14.RUSSELL-Inexpereinced Devils got another win

15.FLEMING COUNTY-Panthers keep clawing

16.MENIFEE COUNTY-The 'Fee hopes to draw Fleming

 

 

Have at it guys and gals.....

 

I've seen most of the teams in this so here is my humble opinion;

 

1. Elliott Co. - no doubt who's No. 1, completely awesome team

2. Bath Co. - move up with their victory over the Hill, well coached

3. Rose Hill - think they'll be No. 2 behind Elliott by seasons end

4. Fairview - right behind RH, will battle them for the Region #2 spot

5. East Carter - much improved

6. Raceland - scrappy and fun to watch

7. West Carter - will be tough at home

8. Ashland - middle of the pack this year, but could upset someone at home

9. Morgan Co. - seems to hang tough most games

10. Boyd Co. - doesn't handle pressure well, but Selby keeps them in it

11. Lewis Co. - an improving team, won't want them in 1st round of tourny

12. Rowan Co. - maybe next year

13. Greenup. Co - likes to run but to their own demise sometimes

14. Menifee Co. - see 12.

15. Fleming Co. - ditto

16. Russell - so young and inexperienced, just can't score enough.

Once again the cubster gives Ashland a free pass for their loss. 4th best team in the region lost to Spencer Co.? What does Ashland have to do to drop out of the top 4? I bet if Fairview lost to Spencer Co. they would drop like a rock.

Good job cubster. Elliott clearly no. 1 and I have to agree with the majority Bath should be ahead of Rose Hill at this point. Keep up the good work.

I think cubster does a good job in the poll. I enjoy reading it and seeing what others have to say. No matter who makes the poll, someone will think there is a mistake. Happens everywhere, College football and basketball, etc. He is pretty unbiased most of the time. and at this point and time, being #2-16 in this region means that you have some real work to do before march.

Actually Cubby does a great job himself. The 16th Region is probably the worst region to have to rate, due to their inconsistency.

Everyboyd, just keep looking past Ashland. Everybody wants to read into the loss to Spencer. Fine.

Once again the Cubster hits it right on the head. Bath will continue to move up and unless Ashland picks it up a bit, I think the will be dropping a few spots. Rose Hill also needs to find another scoring option or they will turn out to be a highly overrated team. I was one who thought they would become the second best team in the Region, but I am beginning to have serious doubts.
