December 20, 200718 yr I kind of feel bad for leaving out U2... it wasn't on purpose, but for some reason their latest stuff has gotten on my nerves a little. But I bet in ten years I'll dig it. Don't feel bad. I gave up on U2 after the abomination called "Pop." Doesn't make the stuff that came before any less great.

Not just what you think sounds good, but what actually is good. I reread the thread title and it says FAVORITE bands. Oops. Pretend I was responding to BEST bands :thumb: How influential your bands were and how talented... And you say Led Zeppellin is overated??? Have you heard or seen Page play guitar and do you know the influence they had on just about every band to play in the 80s and 90's?

It didn't seem to hurt a college educated man like yourself being from there. The issues you have with that county I think someone needs a hug. I could have added many more myself.

Nickelback sucks, end of that discussion and it is a insult to any great rock band to have them in front of them on any list that is 10 bands long. The rolling stones, despite their staying power, suck. Mick Jagger is the worst singer of any of the rock bands mentioned so far. He only was considered good because of his stage presence. Now I understand that is a big part of any rock band, but I'd have them top 30 even though I only like 2 of their songs. Top 10... now way. There just aren't enough influential songs. Led Zepplin is overrated. I said it. Do something about it. Before anyone posts another list, think about how influential your bands were, and how talented they actually were. Not just what you think sounds good, but what actually is good. A max of 2 bands from this era should be included. Music isn't as good as it used to be. Plain and simple.
