It should be an interesting game between GC and SK. I guess everyone expects Simon to win but my thought is, SK better come ready to play. GC plays hard and executes and if they're shooting the ball in, SK could have their hands full.

They definitely have their work cut out for them the next week and a half. After this weekend's games (at Anderson on Saturday) they play in the Lloyd tournament. I know they are in Holmes' half of the bracket, but would have to beat Villa Madonna and Lloyd/Conner winner to get there.

BTW, the comment on Maddox leading the state in scoring was tounge-in- cheek. Just trying to dispel the myth that he gets knocked around.

Not knocking Maddox he's a good player but would be more effective outside. He won't have those high scoring games on the inside against bigger teams. He works hard inside but isn't there another option for GC that could pull him out where he could be better and make the team better????

Why??

Because that is what he does on every thread.:madman: Just like when he accused the program of cheating when he heard about a supposed move in that never moved in.

I would assume that CrestwoodKnowitall really actually knows nothing:p

Very accurate assumption on your part!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumb:

I'm glad to hear that Trent has fully recovered from the injury. He is a strong player...always has been.

As I said earlier this week, this weekend will define how the Wildcats have bounced back from Scott County.

Good luck to the Wildcats. Big games this weekend!!!

G.C. just doesn't have the horses to run with S.K. They've got a nice Class A team (probably one of the top 3 in the 8th Region) but not strong enough to run with the big boys.

Actually the 8th preseaon rankings were

1.Oldham Co.

2.Anderson Co.

3.Shelby Co.

4.Simon Kenton

5.Gallatin Co. (was 4th in one poll I saw)

So yes you are correct. Gallatin is one of the top 3 Class A teams in the 8th:rolleyes:

Polls I saw were Herald-Leader, Courier-Journal, Cat's Pause.
