It looks like Ludlow is on there way to a 20 win season. Are they for real?

No. Not against the upper tier of NKY. To me it seems like there is 3 levels to NKY hoops. The top tier (Notre Dame, Highlands....), the middle tier (Brossart, Ryle, Ludlow,....), the bottom tier (small schools with no good players).

They are a good 2nd tier team, but can't hang with the top tier.....

Spoke to a friend of mine who had a daughter play for Coach Stamm previously and he said that he is very impressed by the way in which he coaches and more importantly teaches his players. I'm told that he his a tireless worker and spends a great deal of time creating enthusiasm throughout the girls basketball program all the way into the grade school. Girls in Ludlow look forward to playing for Coach Stamm. He is a hard worker that works well with his staff, his boosters, his community and most of all has the respect of the kids. I'm told the girls hate to let him down so it certainly sounds like a positive situation as far as girls basketball in Ludlow is concerned. I look forward to being able to see them play when they get down here to the Gallatin Tourney.

However, that doesn't mean they are FOR REAL......They are better than the other little schools that are their schedule and in their conference. But against the upper schools, they will lose. Doesn't mean that Coach Stramm isn't a good coach. That is just the reality of the game!

What actually qualifies as being "for real"? I've seen this question asked a couple times about Ludlow's girls' team on here and I want to be sure I clearly understand the terminology before I attempt to respond to those kinds of questions.

I HOPE THEY DO WELL ALSO!!!! Don't misunderstand my postings. I love the small school story successes. I hope they take it to the bigger schools. However, I have my doubts. But who am I? This whole BGP is just opinion and discussion. I think they will beat a lot of the schools on their schedule and will win close to 20 games. However, Boone, Ryle, and Holmes (top tier programs) will beat them. How many times do we see teams that play cupcake schedules (not their fault they are a small school) and don't get tested night in and night out. And let me put it out there one more time: "I HOPE THEY DO WELL ALSO" and prove me wrong!

Unfortunately their schedule is tougher after the All-A than it is before. I do not expect Ludlow to lose again prior to the All-A, but Scott is the only "upper tier" team they will have met prior to the All-A. After the All-A they will play Holmes, Ryle, Boone and that should prepare them well for the post-season.

Well I agree with everything you said except for one little thing. Ludlow beat a really good brossart team to start the year this year. And that brossart team just played a great game against a very good conner team the other night. I know it is to bad though, that the other tough games aren't before the All "A". However the tough games after the All "A" will help prepare them for districts, and the region as well...
