Brian Brohm Graduates

Featured Replies

He won't be the #1 QB in the draft, let alone the #1 pick...

Who will be....tell us Nostradamus.....He certainly is the highest regarded QB going into the draft....the #1 pick is based upon what Miami wants to start with, then where the cards fall from there.

He will be the #1 QB taken, not sure where that will land him though, likely top 5, depending on his comibine and Pro Day

Miami needs a QB so them taking Brohm is a definite possibility, he will be a player to build a franchise around for years to come if he stays healthy.

Congrats to a fine young man.

IMO Brian projects out to be the best Pro QB in this draft. Unfortunately that has not always worked out to be the #1 QB taken.

I thought Quinn was a better Pro prospect than Russell

Cutler over Young or Leinart.

Rodgers over Smith or Campbell.

Rivers over Manning or Rothlisberger.

Palmer was a no brainer over Leftwich, Boller, or Grossman.

Ramsey over Harrington or Carr.

On the flip side. Sometimes it's not good to be the first QB taken. Just ask Carr and Couch. Personally I would like to see him slide to the Bears.

1. I'm a Bears fan.

2. The Bears have 2 speed recievers, 2 posession recievers, and 2 tightends that can catch. All they need is a QB who can get it to them.

3. Lovie has great loyalty and would give him a chance to make mistakes and still feel safe in his job so that he could develop as an NFL QB.

4. He would be in the playoffs his rookie year.

Opps, almost forgot. Congrats to a great student, athlete, and young man, for getting done in the classroom as well as the football field.

I think Brohm, in the eyes of many scouts, has lost a bit this past season. It's unfortunate, as I'd love to see him and Woodson be the top 2 QB's; however, in doing some searching around today, it seems that Matt Ryan from BC is expected to go 1st.

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html

That site has Brohm going #8 to the Ravens (great fit, IMO). Matt Ryan is headed to the Falcons (projected #4 pick) and they say "most feel is the consensus top QB available".

FWIW, at least 3 other sites have Ryan going ahead of Brohm, but Brohm ahead of Woodson. It seems the popular opinion/guesses are Ryan to Atlanta, Brohm to Baltimore and Andre to Chicago. I would love for Brohm and Woodson to get those opportunities.

And the thought of Darren McFadden going to New England is frightening. I'm glad the 49ers beat the Bengals last night...

Congratulations, Brian! For the record, the School of Business at UL is not a cakewalk. EXCELLENT achievement!

My next world-needs-to-know question...does this mean that RockPride is now no longer a UL fan? If he isn't, does that make him a DUKE football fan?

^ We brought this up earlier...we still have some Rocks on the team...therefore I am still in.
