In preseason polls Christian County was ranked higher than Elliott County so this should be a good game for Elliott County.

Christian Co. may not have a win this year, but have played some tough opponents thus far. I think they were beaten by PRP by 4 to 6 points. PRP has alot back from last year and are well coached. Probably the favorite in the 6th region.

 

This will be Elliott's toughest test so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with the victory. I will be surprised if they win by the 30+ margins they are winning by in the 16th region.

Christian County was ranked in the coaches' preseason polls, but they weren't in BGP's top 20. The Colonels are generally considered to be the #3 team at best in Region 2, behind Madisonville and University Heights, and maybe not ahead of Henderson County and Hopkinsville.

 

They're not quite as talented as they've been the last two years, but they will the most athletic team Elliott has faced so far this season.

 

The meaning of the PRP-Christian score is hard to figure. PRP was beaten by 13 by Paducah Tilghman in a scrimmage, with both teams missing a starter.

The meaning of any scrimmage game is hard to figure as well. Christian County will be a strong test for Elliott County. I look for a close game with a score in the 70's. This is the first team to match Elliott's talent level so it should be a good measuring stick.

I will take Elliott County by 12. I think they are legitimate and the younger Knipp is a stud. Without him I think Elliott Co. would be undersized and very beatable but his progress has made them a force.

I agree. He started near the end of last season and has kept developing nicely since(his ankle sprain hurt Elliott at the state tourney). Elliott is a team, they have several players that mean so much to how they operate and Timmy is right in the mix. Elliott needs all of their players to be the team that they are, the first 8 most certainly, but those last two are important as well. They all seem to work well both on and off the court.

Without him the become very ordinary. #'s 9 and 10 could quit tomorrow and the only problems it would cause is 1. they couldn't scrimmage in practice and 2. they wouldn't have any weaker players to put in when the game is a blowout.

Yes sir, I see your point. They are Jarod Flannery and Cody Nickel. I know what you mean about Timmy being very important due to his size. He's 6'7" and blocks a lot of shots and plays so well on both sides of the basket. My point is that Elliott needs all of their players and I don't know who they can least afford to lose. All of Elliott's starters are needed for this team to be where they are, and I believe that. I don't want to discuss which player is more important than the other, they are just such a team. I love this team and believe that they are where they are because the team functions so well together.
