This year probably 35-40 played "meaningful" minutes on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams, but this year was an anomaly. On average the last 5 or 6 years(including the 2005 Championship year) that number is closer to the mid-high 20's.

 

So they played 40/108, that is what I was trying to find out, thanks you CC1.

Just trying to see if large rosters means more actual players or just more uniforms.

You said it 29. Pro teams keep 45 to 48. If the pros don't need 100 players do you really believe colleges and high school teams need 100.

 

you need 45-50 players for good practices and ease of management....anything more depends on the depth of your JV program.

Found out a stat tonight that the X kickoff team had 9 out the 11 as non starters. I did notice that T's kickoff receiving team had 42, 50, 60, 5, 9, 2, 13, and 17 for sure and maybe more starters than that. Maybe someone that follows that team can confirm.
