December 6, 200718 yr How GOOD is this team going to be. They will be the favorites to win the WS for sure now. Jeremy Bonderman Justin Verlander Kenny Rogers Dontrelle Willis Todd Jones Fernando Rodney Joel Zumaya Pudge Rodriguez Miguel Cabrera Carlos Guillen Brandon Inge Placido Palonco Edgar Renteria Curtis Granderson Magglio Ordonez Garry Sheffield  Plus they have Jim Leyland as the manager. This team is LOADED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 6, 200718 yr They could go 160-0..... Seriously this team SHOULD win 100 easy. Except for the fact they play 162 games.
December 6, 200718 yr Author With this huge trade, they are like the Boston Celtics of the MLB. That team might be able to compete for the AL in the All-Star game.
December 6, 200718 yr Yes, Tigers are the greatest team ever assembled in the history of baseball. The season is 4 months away, the American League is loaded, it's a LONG season. We saw how Seattle did after winning all those regular season games, the Yankees always seem to have great "regular season" teams. Call me in October when the Tigers do something then. Course I'm a Chicago fan, so maybe that's why I'm kind of snippy.

December 6, 200718 yr Can't wait to see the Florida Marlins in a few years either... It's amazing how much they load up on prospects. I hated them for beating the Cubs, but look how many of those guys have gone on to cash in big time on contracts.

December 6, 200718 yr They get the prospects, keep them until they get good, then trade them for more prospects. Every once and a while they decide to keep their prospects, add one or two free agents, and win the World Series. Then get rid of them again. It's a great business model in my opinion.
December 6, 200718 yr I said it in a different thread. This all is fine and dandy until the Red Sox bring Santana aboard. Then this all goes for not.
December 6, 200718 yr They are loaded BUT there are some guys listed there that are a little long in the tooth and have had their fair share of injuries. I agree that they have to be the favorite but I would not be suprised at all if they aren't dealing with some big injuries next year.
December 6, 200718 yr I still think the Redsox are #1 then the Tigers are #2nd. To be the best you gotta beat the best, so therefore the Redsox are number 1.
