Good showing by Knott. I think KCC has a much better team than a lot of people may think. They have a lot of experience and a young, talented star scorer in Stamper. Look for Amburgery to really be an impact player as well.

 

Looks like Hazard is off to a customary good start. We should see how they rank up when they play rival Perry on Tuesday, which should be a very exciting game with Coach Holland coaching against the team he coached for the past 12 seasons.

If ppl in bell co would leave the Warren kid alone then he might get to play. He cant help he has had a bad home life and the Whitakers were nice enough to take him under there wings. imo

From some sources I have gotten is that the protest came from within the 14th Region. I think they are set to meet on it next week (not sure on the date).

Let's get back to discussing the game, between Hazard and Knott County, not other issues.

What does the bench look like for Hazard? I know they have a lot of size in the middle with #35 (not sure name) and Campbell as well as good guard play but what kind of supporting cast do they have?

FRom the line score in the Herald, looks like it was Stamper from Knott (23 pts) against Jones for Hazard (22 pts). No one else on either team was in double figures, I think Campbell for Hazard had 8. Jones missed a bunch of free throws too, could of had 30 pts.

Coach Holland only used seven or eight players v. Knott but he has plenty of talent on the bench. They just need to get the football out of them. Football shape and basketball shape are completely different. I found it interesting that Corey Martin and Michael Campbell both played football last Friday night in Lexington and then played Bath Co. at Wolfe Co. on Saturday.

Jones only missed 3 ft (4for 7)

Jones looked much more agressive than he did last year. Of course they will all have to be more agressive offensively with Hicks gone.

Jones also blocked several shots.

The guard from Bell County is very talented...he is very aggressive on offense. Who is #33? Looks like a football player but guarded the ball a lot from what I saw vs. Bath County.

#33 is Randy Lewis he does not play football.

Good game for Knott Co. Hazard did already they were alittle rusty but Justin Jones from hazard had a great game 22 pts, 7 reb, and 4 blks.

Knott County Central..................Possibly the most underrated team in the 14th. Very impressive team. I saw them a couple of times this year.
