Lady Royals get the JV girls lots of pt tonight and there 1st road win in Brooksville.They improve to 3-0 winning by about 34 a game so far and there still missing 1 starter in Hilary Doyle.Congrats to them.:dancingpa

Bracken got a taste that winning the freshmen regional is great and an awesome honor but doesn't mean you are ready to take on the region's elite at the varsity level.

 

Those freshman(now sophs)did win the JV game was told. This loss really doesn't bother me, it's those losses to the middle and bottom of the region that hopefully will stop this season with those very freshman from last season helping out. Bracken County needs to look at all of those schools(Mason,Montgomery,Paris)come to mind that had youngsters leading the way. My gosh it seems like Cline,Litzinger and Chambers have been there forever, that's because they have been playing varsity since 8th grade.

As I believe lbbc already stated; it's one thing to have a group of freshman that win the region; but they are still a little overmatched as sophomores against the region's elite.

 

I think that the Lady Bears are a year away from making some real noise in the 10th. And as All In has said; a good barometer of improvement this year will be to win those games against the 10th's middle-of-the-pack squads.

I was thinking about 17-20 points. Not like this score. Last year in the District BC kept the game close for a long time.

 

And the year before that only lost to Mason by 6 in the district opener at Bracken County.

The first meeting last year Mason won by 41. Tough opponent to have for your 3rd game of the year. But I also thought the score would be a little better than this.
