Tiger1 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Final. Slavey and Maegley carried SK tonight. Slavey can flat out shoot the basketball. SK needs someone else besides Slavey and Maegley to step up while Zach Layne is out. CJ Penny from Anderson had a monster game. He is a very good player.

buttels Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Penny might be player of the year in the region and he's a junior I believe. Did Ponzer not play??

NEERFAN Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 How did the sophmore from Anderson play, I believe he was #44 last season? You never want to lose a game but to lose on the road against one of the 8th's top teams without a very good player in Layne isn't too disappointing.
*Jeanie* Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 How many did Penny have? Would SK win if they had Zach Layne?
Tiger1 Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 How many did Penny have? Would SK win if they had Zach Layne? I am just giving a good guess, but Penny had middle to upper 20's. Zach Layne would have given SK another scoring threat and he is their best defensive player. IMO..... yes, SK wins with a healthy Layne.

*Jeanie* Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Oh, and how did Ponzer play? Did any of the other football player's play?
nkysportslegend Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I figured this game would go about like this, actually thought Anderson would have won by a few more points. Once they get in the swing of things and get Zach back healthy SK will be fine.

I agree. :thumb: If these two teams happen to play each other at the end of the year, it will be a totally different outcome....in SK's favor.
Tiger1 Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 You think Penny the best player in the 8th? One of the top 5 in the 8th region.
Pizza boy Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Simon came out nervous the first quarter in a half. At one point down 20 to 4 but once they got their feet wet it was a different game. Just dug to big of a whole in the first half.
