That used to be the cheerleaders job back in the horse and buggy days...what happened?

 

I know. Those were the good ole days. I think somewhere along the road someone decided it was too much for the cheerleaders to go to each and every door. Also now on Thursday they have pre-game late so it would make it way too late if the cheerleaders did it after pre-game.

Don't know about other players, but the cheerleaders did decorate our houses. They weren't exactly very quiet either. Sounded like they may have enjoyed it a little too much. Guess the moms were jealous and had to join in. Nothing jazzed me up more than accidentally opening my front door to see a very hot upperclass cheerleader putting a poster up with my name on it blowing me kisses. Those were the days....:cry:

Just soo you know, on Thursday nights, while the Dad's are sitting around eating bon bons and sharing a beverage while watching game films in someones warm cozy living room, the moms are out in the cold running from house to house putting up inspirational messages and treats for the players. Go Birds.

 

 

Funny, I seem to recall a bunch of Moms in my living room on Thursday nights supporting the grape growers of the world, totally mesmarized by a fake dog.

 

PS: there are no bon bons and we are on Dowlings back porch, not the living room. You did get the beverage part right.

Back in my day at Highlands (77 thru 80) the Cheerleaders would come around on Thursday night and give the players a box of wheaties and a kiss on the cheek. And for those of you that remember there were some pretty girls in my senior class.
