November 29, 200718 yr Author Agree with the points about the extraordinarily weak schedule, the timing (mid-week) of the games, the team's performance, etc. But where else would 19,000 show up for a game against Stony Brook? A lot of places. Assembly Hall at IU only holds 17456. For their thrilling 100-49 thrashing of powerhouse Longwood was a sell out of 17456, if the place held 25k, you can be darned sure there would have been a lot more there. Rupp Arena is a very large facility. I never understood the accomlishment of saying you lead the country in attendance when youhave one of the largest facilities to do so. Do you really think if Duke or IU had a 25k seat arena they wouldn't be right there with you? We'll see as IU is getting a 25k seat arena.
