Back in the "stone tablet" days...Our letter jackets were awarded to us through the boosters. The year I lettered, they just happened to decide to change the "style" from the traditional leather sleeved jacket to the all cloth waist coat. They went over like the proverbial "lead balloon" and were changed back to the traditional the following year. I wish I would have kept mine...collectors item! (lol). Now, costs being what they are, I believe the boosters give $$ toward the jacket but don't foot the entire bill. They do more than enough for the program @ HHS. And there are no press clippings. The town crier came out and shouted the results (LOL)!

 

 

 

OK, that sounds like the way most jackets are done, that is, at least that I know about. But do you have a recording of the "town crier" shouting the results. That could be transferred to a digital recording(mp3 even!) today and would last forever! Of course, the sound wouldn't be any better than what was recorded, and those rock recordings have quite a few snap, crackle & pops in them, but you'd have a back-up just in case that rock would happen to get dropped and cracks!
