PRP Coach Wolfe Resigns

Featured Replies

Do you think he would be interested in the Lawrence County Job? I would like to see him in Eastern Kentucky.....:ylsuper:

There has to be more story that isn't being told.

I understand there was no pressure from the princiapl or others to get him to resign, the timing just seems odd.

To have a coach resign after the end of their season makes sense. To have the teacher resign before the end of he grading period seems odd. I think the grading period ends at Christmas break just 1-1/2 months off.

I don't believe he left his players in a lurch having waited until the end of the season, but to leave teaching may have thrown a number of students off the mark for the rest of the year....

I heard Jody Demling say Coach Wolfe played at Highlands. Is this true? If so, when? I'm usually pretty good with the HHS alums but I do not recollect him. I remember Wolfe's at Holmes and CC...but not Highlands. But then again...I could be wrong. I wish him all the best and good luck with his new daughter!

He played at HHS in the late 80's... I believe he was a rb and a lb or s...:thumb:

Chris graduated with Brian Weinrich if memory serves me correct. Played LB and RB. Had a great run at Hancock County when Travis Atwell was QB and had success at Wagner and PRP. He would look good back in the Blue and White of Highlands.

Chris did indeed graduate in 90 from HHS. Senior starter on 89 State Champ team. He played S and RB if I remember correctly. Wore #47 if memory serves me. He was a very good ball player as a Senior, but I don't think he played much before that other than some jv time. Good luck to him in his future endeavors, but from what I understand, It doesn't include football, teaching, or coaching.

You are correct weasel. Chris comes from the cradle of coaches of HHS. He grew up in Fort Thomas and was a senior on the 89 team. He was a teammate of Weinrich and was also coached by Dixie coach Spritzky. And he did wear number 47. He also played at Campbellsville college. Great coach and nice guy, best of luck to him during his early midlife crisis as he puts it.

There is nothing more to the story. Wolfe is simply going a different direction in his life. Wolfe is a man of great character and will be successful in his future endeavors. Coaching high school football isn't all there is to life. As for throwing students off the mark, he worked the ASP or ISS program at PRP.
