Why only two (KY) local teams?

I'm not sure.

Starting to become a habit at this tournament. I can't imagine the gate receipts are very good.

The gate is usually pretty good, it goes down some if Corbin goes down early.

From the info that I have been able to get on these teams, it appears that Corbin will have a tough first round game again this year. Boiling Springs is a 4A team(SC's largest class)that finished 18-7 last year losing to the eventual state champion in the playoffs. Maynard Evans High School is a 6A team from Orlando who finished 17-11 and bill themselves as the fastest 32 minutes in basketball would appear to be the Hounds second round opponent if they both advance.

This is always a great tournament. Corbin needs to schedule themselves into the second round. It would help the gate. They seem to schedule a tough first rounder for themselves every year.

Who would have been better team for Corbin to play?

I could not find out anything about the team from NY, but based on last year, Mt Zion from Jonesboro, GA would be my guess. I think that both the schools from Florida are 6A schools that are going to be very talented and the Union, SC teams that have been here in the past are usually pretty good, so there may not be any easy draws.

The team from Ny is supposed to be loaded. They are only about 5 miles from the Bronx area of New York City. Union has two kids 6'8" and 6'6" and guard that moved in from Indiana. Mt Zion has back their top eight kids. I am like you I do not know if there is a good draw. If Crawford can not play it want matter who Corbin plays.

Dogman, you maybe correct, but do not under estimate the supporting cast for the Hounds. They are a year older, wiser and better. Crawford should be back by the CFIT if not sooner.

The two games tonight should both be very good games to watch. Corbin plays Boiling Springs, SC at 6:30 and Jackson Co. plays Union, SC at 8:30. Union always has some great athletes that is better known as a football power as they have won 3 state championships in the last 9 years in SC, but the basketball teams that have played here in the past have been very entertaining to watch.

I would like to have seen a few more really good KY teams in the tourney this year. I wish they could bring down someone like a Ballard or PRP to participate in this event.

Will these games be broadcast on Wazoo Sports?

My understanding is that they waited a little too long to extend the invitations this year and that almost all the Ky teams had their schedules made.

Corbin defeated Boiling Springs 60-52. I just caught the end of this one on the radio and was listening to the stats and noticed no Josh Crawford tonight. What is the latest with him, I had heard that tonight was going to be his first game back.
