These are based on my best calculation skills -- which ain't sayin' much. So forgive me if they're fouled up. But this is how I see the point standings (both current, and maximum possible) for the playoff tie-breaker. Teams in red will play one of the tied teams this week.

Fern Creek's loss to Ballard tonight decreases Ryle's max. points to 24.

By the way, the Enquirer article mentioned that the teams count their top 4 "non-district" games. That is incorrect. Its any 4 outside of the teams that are tied.

Here is how I see the 6A NKY teems being seeded, based on my predicted outcome of the games to be played next week:

 

1st Seed: Boone County.

 

2nd Seed: Ryle with 19 points.

 

3rd Seed: Simon Kenton with 18 points.

 

4th Seed: Campbell County with 17 points.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it'll be BC/Campbell Co and SK/Ryle.

Here is how I came up with my projected numbers:

 

I picked Dixie to beat Campbell

" " Mason County to beat Greenup County

" " Knox Central to beat Holy Cross

" " CAL to beat Pendleton County

" " Holmes to beat Conner

" " Bell County to beat Tates Creek

 

If any of these predictions go the other way, it could (but not necessarily) effect the points. The only game I see effecting the final standings is the Campbell/Dixie game. Although an upset win by Tates Creek or Pendleton Co. would also change the seeding order.

 

In regard to your particular scenario, I already had Beechwood over NCC; but if Campbell does beat Dixie, they would be able to replace Tates Creek's (projected) 2 points with Dixie's 5 points. They would then finish with a total of 20 -- earning the 2nd place seed in the district and a first round home game.
