How far will the Boston Celtics go?

Featured Replies

We will see...who the Spurs got for KG? Ray? and Paul?

Answer me this. How many rings do those 3 players that you are counting on have?

Another easy one for you: How many times has those 3 players you are counting on been to the Finals?

Another easy one for you: How many times has those 3 players you are counting on even played in the conference finals?

One more: How many playoff wins do those 3 players you are counting on have compared to the Spurs?

Celtics would lose to the Spurs in 5.

Youngster, you need to be able to control the boards, play defense and score to win the NBA championship. The Celtics do one of the 3.:D;):sssh:

A guy who goes by Lebron...

A guy named Jordan had minimal playoff success till his Bulls teams learned to play defense and dominate the boards.

Who have these players had on there team to help them????

:irked:

Take Duncan and put him on the T-Wolves last year and Move KG to San A...Spurs would still be champs.

So, now these players need others to help them. And back to my original point. After those 3, I don't see any defense or rebounding to bring a championship.

Gooden from the Cavs is not one of the top players on the league and the Celtics don't have anything like him to be a role player.

Tony Allen,Eddie House, Scott Pollard, James Posey...these guys will be role players.

You dont need that much help with Paul, KG, and Ray scoring 75 of your points. Last time I checked the team that scores the most usually wins. :D

KG is a double double every night. Ray and Paul can pass like mad. Rondo's D is his best quality! So with Tony Allen, Rondo, KG, Ray, Paul..there is no D there?:lol::lol::lol:

Win around 45-52 games in the regular season.

Get a 3-5 seed in the playoffs.

Go past the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Hopefully, win the NBA championship :dancingpa

But I don't think anyone will stop the Suns this year.

3-5 Seed in the East?

Wow can beat them?

A bunch of stars that all put up good numbers do not equal championship teams, just ask Joe Torre. I don't think the Celtics will be as good as the Suns/Mavs/Pistons were last year and we all saw how far they got. Will they be a good team? Yes. I think they need a little time though before we start talking championships.

IMAO Baseball is differnt...but we will see..but if this team doesn't win the East it will be a huge loss

I do think it's possible for them to get there, I just don't see it yet. I just think you're giving them a little more credit than they've earned yet. I think the Pistons not getting there would be a much bigger disappointment than the Celtics not getting there this year.

Who takes the last second shot? Which role players can hit the open J, or get the ball up the floor. I'm not sold on Rondo as a starting PG. Plus, with the big 3 he'll be open a lot, and we all know he isn't exactly the best shooter, even though he seems to be working hard to improve. Also, they need a hardnosed worker in the post, IMO. Someone who can get 8 or 9 boards a game, and get the garbage buckets. Also, I think Paul Pierce may become a problem. Allen and Garnett will appreciate playing with so much talent, but Pierce goes from being the star to being the 3rd member of the big 3. If they can some how come together though, they'll be scary good.
