Heisman Race

Featured Replies

After this week's crazy wild games who is leading the Heisman race? Here's my list..

Daren Mcfadden - His team isn't doing so great but DM is putting up good numbers. Next game - Auburn. Stats - 130 rushes for 779 yards and 7 TD's.

Matt Ryan - Has BC unbeaten and in the top 10. Next game - At Notre Dame. Stats - 160 of 255, 1,857 yards, 15 TD's and 5 INT's.

Tim Tebow - UF is 4-2 but Tebow is putting up the numbers and almost took down the #1 team in the land. Next game - At Kentucky. Stats - 97 of 148, 1,455 passing yards, 13 TD's. 500 rushing yards 9 rushing TD's.

Andre Woodson - UK fell agasint SC but Woodson is still among the top players in the country. Next game - LSU. Stats - 135 of 207, 1,536 yards, 18 TD's and 2 INT's.

Mike Hart - Michigan isn't doing as expected but Hart is playing HUGE. Next game - Purdue. Stats - 179 rushes, 976 yards, 10 TD's.

Chase Daniel - Daniel has Mizzou unbeaten and has played big in the big games. Next game - At Oklahoma. Stats - 149 of 223, 1,712 yards, 15 TD's and 4 INT's.

Dennis Dixon - Dixon is one of the best all around QB's in the nation. He can break a game open at anytime. Next game - Washington State. Stats - 97 of 140, 1,238 passing yards, 12 TD's and 2 INT's. 308 rushing yards, 5 rushing TD's.

Other players to watch..

DeSeaon Jackson - 28 catches, 312 yards, 2 TD's.

Brian Brohm - 173 of 259, 2,415 yards, 20 TD's, 4 INT's.

John David Booty - 113 of 175, 1,239, 12 TD's, 8 INT's.

Steve Slaton - 112 rushes, 625 yards, 9 TD's.

Colt Brennan - 152 of 207, 1,850 yards, 16 TD's, 6 INT's.

PJ Hill - 160 rushes, 750 yards, 10 TD's.

Rashard Mendenhall - 114 rushes, 772 yards, 10 TD's.

That's my list. What do you guys think..

The South Carolina game really hurt Woodson's chance imo. I like your list though. Especially those last two guys you named, PJ Hill and Mendenhall. Mendenhall is tough.:thumb:

For as bad as Woodson looked against SC, John David Booty looked that much worse in his 4 INT loss to Stanford.

I have to give some big props to Matt Ryan at BC, that kid has been very impressive thusfar. I would list him as my #1, followed by McFadden, Dixon, and Deshawn Jackson.

The best QB in the nation (based on statistics) is not in your Top 7. How does that work?

I'm really liking Tebow... He'll win at least one Heisman before he is done at Florida.

His team is terrible.

And? His team being terrible doesn't change the fact that he has the best stats in the country....

Well if your talking about Graham Harrell, it is the same case as Colt Brennan. Harrell has had 5 games where he has thrown over 40 passes. Harrell has the most TD's and passing yards but his team ( Texas Tech ) they haven't played anyone really. We will see how good Harrell is when he takes on Mizzou, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Well when your team sucks you are down a lot which makes you throw a lot more than all those other guys. Brian sure is racking up yards aganist that prevent D.

... Good answer.

Louisville's main attack is the pass. Does playing from behind force you to throw more, yes. But IMO they don't really throw any more than they usually do.

I really hope you don't belive that. Go look at his number from last year up to this point. If the attempts are close I will shocked.

He is on pace to throw for 200 more attempts than any other year he has played.

Well this season he has 259 attempts. Which puts him at 6th most in the country. Through his first 6 games last season he had 162 attempts. But he did miss some of the Miami game though didn't he?

He did, but I think he had a almost 180 attempts...I could be wrong though.
