McLean Co. v. Paducah Tilghman Predictions

Most people believe that it is a forgone conclusion that Tilghman will win their district handily. They have destroyed Webster County and had a tight ball game with Union County, but still won. Their non-district schdule has been difficult. And last week, they lost to major rival Mayfield, 16-6. Will Tilghman beat McLean as badly as they did Webster County?

 

McLean is coming off a stinging loss to Grayson County 34-16. Can McLean keep up with the speed of Tilghman? Can McLean regain focus and beat perennial powerhouse Tilghman?

 

Thoughts and predictions?

I was impressed with Tilghman last week as they are much improved from the team that I saw play Graves County in week 2...I say that Tilghman will win this one 28-7

They have one common opponent ... Webster County.

 

Tilghman led Webster 28-0 after one quarter and won 49-21. McLean trailed the Trojans for most of the game, I'm told, and scored late to win 20-14.

I say PT takes this one 28-7.......they are picking up the pace and gave Mayfield a pretty good game.

Tilghman will win there last 4 games rather handily and then should win there 1st 2 or 3 playoff games..I gotta believe them playing the schedule they have will have them better prepared than most of the other 3a teams in the region...They will most likely make the final 4, or at worse the final 8 before they lose again...

They are in the same district. The KHSAA says otherwise.

McLean County chose to "play up" in 3A. I'm guessing that it had something to do with the fact they would have been in the same 2A district as Owensboro Catholic and Fort Campbell, although their travel situation is better in 3A.
